I am purchasing Camp Sacajawea. This is something that has been in the works for at least six months, and the last two of those months, I have literally been going insane to see it done. Today, the last big approval was given, and nothing lies ahead but smaller and easier hurdles. There are many people who have helped to make this happen, some of which I am permitted to name, and some who have asked to remain unknown. Misha, Ron the Ranger, and Tom Senger are among those who I can name. Tom helped to make up the difference of the 10% that I had to put down, with an unprecedented financial donation. To everyone who had a hand in working towards this, this simply would never have been able to happen without your help and my appreciation is beyond any words.
This will be an extraordinary achievement when it is done. It will literally be us bringing a dream into reality. What we will be able to accomplish for ourselves by owning a permanent site, is completely immeasurable. Of course there are things we are not fond of at Sac, but those things can now be fixed, or overcompensated for. We can and will build this camp into a larpers paradise. We will unlock all of its hidden potential and cut many facets onto this rough diamond until it is the envy of all blushing brides. A fence can be built to block the view of the road, The inn can be redesigned to look like a renaissance tavern, more heated sleeping space in the winter can be created, A proper thieves guild built, permanent drow caves, ruins, a mage guild tower, a port town by the lake, druids grove, graveyard, these things only scratch the surface on what we can and will do.
When we are not using the camp for Knight Realms, I will be renting the campground to other games, one of which will be our good friends who run Dystopia. We will also be preparing the camp for the future plans of running the Sparta NJ Renaissance Festival.
In the coming days I will attempt to post more about how you all can join us in helping to transform the camp into our paradise.
I will close by saying that everyone’s love and support for Knight Realms has gotten us to this point. Without that support we would have never gotten this far and had the ability to even consider this endeavor.
Thank you all, each and every one of you!
