As the year comes to a close, a lot of great things are happening at Knight Realms, both OOG and IG. The Heroic Lists and Item Rules have been introduced, and the Xualla Storyline is drawing to a climax. As we head into the December event, we've realized that the two will conflict - the massive amount of changes in the rules has the potential to overshadow, and detract from, the finale we have planned.
Because of this, we are delaying the implementation of the new rules - the Heroic Lists and new Item rules - until the Winter Festival on December 21. We want people to be able to focus on role-play and atmosphere this event rather than worrying about rewriting their cards or items, and instead focus on enjoying the event.
To this end, the following will be taking place at the December event:
1) All Master Lists (Master Warrior, Master Rogue, Arch Caster, and Master Marksman) still use the current version, and do not need to be updated.
2) All other higher lists - the ones that were "de-powered" at the November event - are still de-powered.
3) Existing rituals cast on people still work, for this event (Genasi, Portals, etc.)
4) All items function normally, including ones hole-punched for conversion.
After the December event, the following steps will take place to facilitate the re-writes:
- Starting Monday after the December event, you will be able to log into the Card System, and re-spend your build as you wish (within the rules of the system). You can submit your changes for approval, and a Staff member will verify it, and apply it to your card.
- Cards will not be updated after the December Event, until after the Winter Festival. You will not see skills you learned at the December Event online until after the Festival. Please do not attempt to learn Master or Higher List Skills at the December Event - you will not see them for the rewrite process. You can bank your build for the Banquet, and / or January event, to begin learning the Heroic Lists. You can learn lessons toward a list normally, or open a list at the new costs if it's your final lesson, but it will not be reflected on your card until after the Festival, and will not count for the re-write.
- Cards *will* be updated for the Banquet, including Service Point totals, and the applied re-writes.
- The same card you use at the Banquet will be used at the January event, to save on paper and effort, and the sanity of the Card Officer.
We hope that delaying the rules changes will make things better for everyone, and a smoother transition overall. It will allow for everyone to enjoy the plotline for the December event, and then focus on the mechanics once the event is over.
