May feast

Feast this coming Baronial gathering will be the following

Roasted Boar
Roasted potatoes with fresh herbs
steamed vegetables
spiced cake with fruit baked into it.
Spanikopita (spinach pie) for those who do not eat meat and pork

Thanks for posting this, Diane. I had never thought about it until now, but it's pretty dang awesome to know that the feast is going to be before-hand. This is especially great for those who don't eat meat, or follow a belief that asks them to stay away from meats such as pork or beef.
As obvious as my appreciation in this post is, and doesn't truly need mentioning, I still thought it best to say thank you this way, rather than just hit the button.

I've never had boar. That sounds really good. Spinach pie also sounds good, but boar. I imagine it's like a beefy pork?

I've never even seen boar before! Could I still help in the kitchen? I'd love to learn how to prepare a new dish.

Friday I will be putting the meat into a marianade, to start cooking Saturday morning.
