Scholar's Table Manuscript List

8 years 6 months ago #149703 by Ilana Darkwood (Ilana_Darkwood)
Hello!

I do my best to keep an eye on the scholar's table paperwork but it has a tendency to vanish near every game.

So, I asked a few folks and decided to make it available for people to look at ahead of time to have an idea of what they can learn/research before game.
(I know plenty of us plan ahead those kind of things, bookworms or not)

If you added something recently and it is not on this list, just let me know. I probably could not find the paper to update it.

Thank you all for your time!

Mummies isn't on that list but there is literally a book stating "tome: lore mummies" on the table.

The physreps on the table do not necessarily match what is available, unless that physrep has an item card attached (yes, we are working on getting the physreps to match, but it's a somewhat low priority project). There are many books on the table that state Lore: X, where X isn't even a valid lore any more. The list of tomes is the official "item card" for the table, and any books on the table not listed on the sheet need to follow the standard rules for tomes as outlined in the rulebook.

That said, mummies may have been an oversight. I have some older versions of the tome list sheet squirreled away somewhere, so I'll see if it appears on any of those.

I know a bunch of people learned mummies last month from that tome so if that's the case you'll probably need to get a list to take it off of our cards (myself included)

Restricted Lores>Fae Should this be Fey?

Regional Lores>Grey Mercies In the List of Lores, this is listed as a Monster Lore.

(also Cultural Lores>Quinarians, Historical Lores>History, and Miscellaneous Lores>Positive Energy are out of alphabetical order :P)

Also: Can we get the monster lores from the Travance Chronicles listed as well, for the sake of learning (not research of course) and making sure copies are still there/don't get lost?

And can we take the contents of this listing as IG knowledge (esp. if we've been to the table before?)

"Fae" is the correct spelling.

Grey Mercies moved to the appropriate section. Turns out this is what happened to Mummies, too - it was in the wrong area, though the hunt for old file version did turn up that "Law" was missing from the sheet. This has been added in.

Quinarians and Positive Energy have been correctly alphabetized. History, Geography, and Religion are intentionally at the top of their respective sections as they are the "generic base" lores for those types.

The Chronicle monster lores actually require a physical copy of that issue and are not part of the table or its enchantment. I will see what I can do to make sure there are copies available of the issues that have lore entries.

You can consider this listing IG, as the "card catalog" of the Baronial Library. There is now a permanent link in the Baronial Library/Culture section of the website.
