Father John's Animal House, Jan-Apr '12 was created by Shiver (Shiver)
Our first fundraiser for 2012 will be in support of our local no-kill animal shelter just a few minutes from our Camp Sacajawea campsite. Father John’s Animal House (formerly Sussex County Fellowship for Animals), is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization supported entirely by donations, grants, and various fundraising events. They receive no federal, state, county, or municipal funding. Their self proclaimed primary purpose is to provide love, companionship, shelter, food, socialization, and medical care for the many unwanted animals that come to us until permanent, loving homes can be found for them.
www.fatherjohnsanimalhouse.org/
In addition to raising money, I will be accepting Dog and Cat food donations for the January, February, March and April KR events.
Please give as much as you can. These are good people doing a nice thing just to help abandoned, unwanted animals or animals they rescue from kill shelters.

Prizes:
1st prize: Esavar's Dagger – “Nightblade”
Description: A curved dagger with arcane ruins carved on the blade. Esavar was a rogue of some renown, so much so that dozens of rogues would compete to be his apprentice. His skill and demand for perfection were such that he only took one such apprentice at a time. It was said that once apprentices proved themselves, he sometimes gave the most promising rogues in his fellowship trinkets or weapons that would aid them in their jobs for his guild.
This blade counts as a +2 dagger that strikes for magic. It will allow its wielder to do the following:
1- Imbues a displacement 3 x per period.
2- “dodge” as skill 1x per period.
3- “body shot” as skill 1 x per period.
4- “invisibility” as spell 1 x per period.
(This item is permanent in nature)
2nd Prize: Apprentice hood of the Iron Order
Description: In all appearances, this tem appears to be a standard hooded mantle made of heavy brown fabric. A closer examination will reveal its magical nature. Aspiring warrior initiates of the Iron Order we given these hoods as a badge of office when they were promoted to group leader.
The mantle offers its wearer:
1- Confers a magical armor bonus equal to 20 AP. These armor points cannot be repaired, but will refresh at the start of each period.
2- “parry” as skill 2 x per period.
3- “courage” 1 x per period.
4- “mind shield” as per spell 1 x per period
(This item is permanent in nature)

Each of the pearls posses a single use of a specific property of the following type.

Will any type of food do?
I know my dog(we got her from an orange county shelter of similar nature) grew up on Science Diet and they suggested only getting that to not vary her food. Anything like that that the shelter recommends? Or is it just, any type of dog/cat food will do?

I would also recommend that we get pictures of some of the critters looking for homes at the shelter to post here and at the table on site.

Before each event, I or one of my marshals sell raffle tickets for the current fundraiser in Logistics.
Feel free to drop off food donations when you stop by to buy raffle tickets. ; )
