May 2010 Highlights

Good event!

Kudos to Steve & Crew for writing a plot that encouraged the PCs to be proactive and go and get'em, rather than waiting for it to come to us!  Well done!

Highlights:

Learning my first Valence spell.  Even after 9 years of playing, it's still amazing to learn things for the first time.

(An OOG butterfly floats by) "I must learn to focus on my magi.... Ooo, butterfly!"

So... Many... Students... I love it!

Meeting my future self in a brief vision.  Handling it in a very logical, straight-forward fashion.  Must be the pointy ears...

Missing most of the rain that had been forecasted.

Dinner was delicious!

Lowlights:

Getting sick late on Saturday.  I have a damnable cold now, that hit me at about 10:00 on Sat.  I missed main mod, and I still feel like crap.  Even when I was prepared for the cold weather, I still got sick.  Bleah...

had soo much fun!

friday
- crazy dragoon stuff constantly!
- going on a mod just to find out i was useful as a sacrifice for bigger and badder things
- telagrim appearing and being a total creeper and sniffing people (cameron! you're a creep )
- knocking some sense into the dragoons since all of us were gathered to find a time to practice and i suggest "how about now? we're all here."
-dark elves everywhere.

-npcing was actually fun! thank you kate and chris for making it so!
-selling rubious that ridiculous poncy hat as an npc lol classic
-having wolfgar explain to hammish and billiam the 3 tests to be worthy of marrying me and having both of them want to try to pass them just because! lol
- meeting new people and making horribly bad jokes with aiden and brogan around nutmeg
- having "intelligent" conversations with Dr. Maxwell, Galen, Ib, and Brik in turn but mostly Dr. Maxwell was my buddy
-oog kinda wishing i was a wild mage with the spell avoidance >.<
-main mod was awesome and i felt great fighting but just as i was about to call spirit of the dragon for the first time..... CARD HOLD! T_T but because i was so close to calling it and couldn't i had great roleplay with it maybe next time.

since i left after main mod saturday that was about it!

I cussed and gave Quagz a new shield.

+ Accidentally broke a tenant the same night by not allowing unknown people behind door to speak. Turns out they were Glommite Clerics who used rot tongue on me. This freaked Typhon out “I wouldn’t speak to them now I can’t.”
+Great RP with Winter Sage Sunday Morning looking for Kwildar and penance. Getting to use and epic line and the right moment, right after getting tongue healed by Galen, to Sage, “When I had no voice, you leant me yours.”
+NATIRI GET DOWN!!!!
+ Learning more about druids and totems
+Everyone loved my Barbarian beer bread offered permanent residence as long as I bring it
-Lots of OOG Conversation at our feast table.

First off I had a great weekend!

Highlights

Friday Night:
-Helping set up a mod (I hope all who came enjoyed all that was set up)
-NPCing This i think was the most fun i had NPCing ever.
-Walking into town and seeing Telegrim appearing and throwing a spear back at the town, and being told to stay away from him for good reasons.

Saturday:
-Running around looking for people
-Going on a mod and keeping people safe as much as i could
-Feast was delicious!
-Helping set up yet another mod with Bob and being part of it
-Not knowing what to say in the mod to anyone being I was just as lost as everyone else
-Seeing things as Raxas that no one else was able to see in the mod
-Main mod was fun and acting scared about where I should be
-Wanting to help kill a werewolf but being told "NO" by Tari over and over

Sunday:
-Waking up and being guarded by a Dragoon
-Warming up in the in by the fire
-Watching the good RP happen in front of the in before clean-up hold

Lowlights:
WIND AND COLD = little sleep ugh

I'm tired, sore, aching, and at work.. so I have to keep this brief...

1. Wow, it was cold the last night.
2. "JUST 1 CABLE!"
3. Alisandria Steakhouse.
4. Why do we keep going to the inverted tower?
5. The inverted tower is an evil walmart... it has everything we need, but we never really want to go there.
6. I am a Witch Hunter... so much so, that I will fight in nothing but a bath towel after a shower.
7. The First Knight of Alisandria... performance by Cassandra was hilarious.  2 words... bocce balls.  
8. Sausage & biscuits with gravy breakfast is pure win.
9. No complaints from NPC's about my new sword.  Guess the switch to a lighter weapon does make a difference in my style and how hard I hit.
10. NPCing as a Dire Raccoon.  Why do people feed the Dire-wildlife?  It just makes them come back for more.
11. Dire raccoons fear nothing, not even a werewolf with a 2H sword.  
12. Warded cabin with Gabriel's Door can't stand up to a raccoon with Expert E&E.

I will post more when I can remember it and don't feel so beat-up.  Thanks for a fun event.
