To begin with I want to thank the staff and players for making this another excellent event! The Feast was great, and those words fail to convey how grateful I am to the kitchen staff who regularly wake early and cook late to ensure we are fed and happy. I would like to emphasize that we not only are required to treat people in general with respect, but in particular those people that do so much for us and give up their own time and energy to provide kitchen services to us. Lets play nice folks.
Its a mark of a good event for me when I can look back and not really feel that I had any downtime during it. Even at the bar sipping koolaid my mind was working overtime and it was not really 'down' time. Having said that I had a good time throughout the event.
Friday: Lay on saw me at the bar, teasing, being teased and generally getting into character. Later that night what stands out is the walks and talks with Lucien, and the attack at the Monastery with the wraiths. Then a walk to the Manor for the Celebration and Gaian Mass, lot of powerful role play there, and it was an honor to be there for it.
Saturday: NPC shift in the morning, I got my merchant urges satisfied with 3 hours of trading items for coin and items, in a continuous string of transactions with the occasional visit to logistics to unload coin. Proud of my merchant skills and wonder about maybe doing an alt with that as a feature. Afternoon Mass, short and sweet, with a bit of socializing around the tavern after, and training. Interacted with some folks I don't normally get to and received a pretty fun string of training as a result. Having to get mentors seems a chore sometimes, but I can see the point of it in getting us to rp outside the circle we normally hang with. Feast was amazing as always. We all need to help out more with clean up however. I had to clear several tables because their previous occupants wandered away from dirty plates, mugs and utensils. Not cool, we are supposed to be adults here.
After feast we were left with wondering what was next. Answer: The reliquary from hell! Felt useful as a Cleric, felt ridiculously over matched as a relatively new PC. That was the point of it I guess. Even the high level PCs were dismayed at some of the stuff we faced, so I don't feel bad. It was amazing we managed to achieve the objective without more deaths. Victory?
I had to cut short my evening due to work on Sunday and left early Sunday morning. But, to reiterate, thanks to staff, particularly the Kitchen Staff for putting up with the long hours and personal sacrifice of sleep and time. The events are built by people willing to give of their time and we all need to treat them with the respect and thanks that they deserve.

Mad Props to everyone who came out to do the "penance" meetings with Caldor. These small RP sessions, while short, were truly amazing. You all did such wonderful jobs. Charlie, John, Leslie, Zipeto and Mae, you all truly made my weekend. Were I an RP marshal, you would all be swimming in RP Points, as you were absolutely amazing. Thank you to Rebecca for coordinating this, and Ben for such an unexpectedly amazing end.
HOLY HELL DID GIDEON AND THE GUILDMASTER JUST REALLY DO THAT? I'm still processing it.
Being Buff master general for many parts of the weekend was really great. Gaia's Embrace and Divine Restoration being a bit too useful as well.
I'm really fond of events where there are waves of less powerful creatures rather than just a few big ones. The wandering encounters were challenging, fun and pressing. THe world felt truly immersive and whole.
Ummm... how many new players? DAAAAAAAAM. How many Full time NPCs? DOUBLE DAAAAAAAAAAMN. Truly, all you guys were amazing, and thank you for everything you did. I look forward to playing with you all in months to come.
While I have completely forgotten his name, a special thanks to the new player/full time NPC who loaned me 50 cents to save my weekend by letting me buy ice cream. Also special thanks to Victoria (sorry if I am mis remembering or messing up your name) for stepping up in our time of need to help take orders for Sunday Breakfast.
Congrats to the new phokus wardens!
I've decided that every period my favorite event is trying to find Swift for our buff swap.
Sad I missed the Kracken.... for the first 40 minutes. After they passed 2 hours of fighting, I'm kinda glad. I got to battle like 12 waves of enjoyable creatures during he same time.
Actually feeling bad for a skeleton as Gideon asked Wulfgar to team up with him to fight it two on one.
Adored main mod. For the first time in a while i truly felt like I was on an adventure during it. Exploring the maze, never knowing what was around the corner, sticking to small group, then teaming up for a real battle. And DAAMN what a massive boss that was. So freaking scary.
A shout out to one of the best main mod mini-teams I've ever been with. Meander, Wulfgar, Alun, guy whose name I'm embarased I can't remember given that we talked for like 3 hours, and Brigitta. So fun to work with you guys.
Altar space developments: Mantle, Runes, Galladellian altar being furthered. So nice. Mass there was wonderful. Also so freaking awesome to feel that Gaia herself may have been there and for the former Arch-Bishop to have come and done uber awesome divine stuff to the space.
Maralas' mass was amazing. Sad I missed the other two. I'm so thrilled that there are many masses. I'm finally hearing some people talking about being able to go to mass because there are different options.
Druid stuff moving along. ... Druidic Elder brings 15 wolves against Clove. He should have brought more wolves. I was so happy to have a team healing up the wolves to send them on their way after, so the Elder didn't have to loose his pack on a challenge. When he told them that once they were healed they were to stay out of the fight and behave, I knew he was an elder I could respect. I just wish I had a chance to talk to him.
Umm... I'm sure there is much, much more I could talk about, but I'm tired, and this was already streaming rambling...
Oh right! Got asked to help with two more weddings. So excited.

Friday - We open the night with aimless walking around at first, when I went into one of my insanities, panic attacks. It was great to fall off that bench and start convulsing. Gwenid and Typhon were there on the double to save me from my self, great roleplay.
The Baroness' Celebration. For those of you who thought I was rping crying, no, those were actual tears. I even needed to step outside for a moment in order to compose myself. The Baroness meant a lot to Jack and with all of that, I cried so much. I don't show that deep sadness a lot, but damn it hit hard.
Jack is finally a vassal of Pendarvin! After months and months and months of working out the head taking, Jack made a good enough impression that he was accepted into the ranks of the blue and white. Geoff! I will miss you being the man in charge, but I could not ask for a better leader than you!
Saturday- Jack had a lot of stuff to deal with as the Brotherhood of shadows was hot on his tail. If it wasn't for all the friends Jack has made, he wouldn't have been able to survive, thanks to all who helped me. For it is only the strength of friendship that will keep Jack alive.
Quan Liu and him teaching a dragoon to unlock his spirit. I was watching the man whose name escapes me and as he unlocked his spirit, releasing tremendous energy, the breeze came in, and the leaves fell around both dragoons. Just an amazing scene.
Main mod NPCing! So my four guys I was helping, you guys are freaking awesome! I hope to see you all a hell of a lot more! So receptive, so wanting to learn, and really laid back, awesome, just into the whole experience. You guys did great and knocked it out of the park!
Sunday: Kaladonia lunch, lessons from Wulfgar, being hit by Wulfgar, all things undead, sprinting to the Armory, only to realize I was surrounded by undead.
Great event guys, I love all of you, keep kicking butt, doing you, and keep cool.
Shout outs to Angus! "Nice going Godric. I see through your evil scheme to spread glass everywhere."

1. Holy crap there were a lot of new players this event! I want all of you to show up next event and every event after. I want to get to know all of you and remember your name (OOG ones because Kanas cannot remember most people's names).
2. The Rift mod. I got to be a god damn hero. I helped fight the group's way through the cave, cut loose the captive quinarian girl, slung her over my shoulders, and ran with her out of the cave while it all crumbled around us. It really proved to me there that I don't need to be a high leveled character or a heroic class or anything like that to be a hero. I may not be the strongest, I may not best with a blade, and I may not be the most powerful but I did what I could and gave my all. And that what matters.
3. Goblin tribal war and the small mushrooms. I made the chieftains fight to the death and the winner took the land for themselves, but they now know that this is not their land, but a part of Arawyn, and they have no claim to her. They may live there, farm, and survive knowing that they are only cohabiting with the earth.
4. BERSERKER RAGE. I got to use the skill for the first time and my love for it is like a Truck Berserker.
5. Mithril Vuvuzela. A mithril freaking vuvuzela.
6. I got to punch a Kraken in the FACE!!! Best ridiculously long and absolutely ridiculous mod ever!!!
I had too much fun. I never knew I could have too much fun. Thank you Knight Realms!

-A+ rp gamefaces
-A big hand for our new folks; Our new npc's jumped right in, played hard and kept coming. Our new pc's stepped in with great concepts, rp and a hunger! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, and look forward to seeing you all again in a few weeks!
-A big bro-fist to all the folks in the kitchen for the grace in dealing with an unprecedented work load. Hardy souls the lot of you!
-Joe; I'm looking forward to doing some rp with your alts!
Friday;
-So nice to not have to rush into character once in a while.
-Great reactions to the guard badges. Stoked. (And for those guards with the just-too-thick belts, I'll have a fix in place by next game.)
-Lay on: Immediate shenanigans leading to failing to accomplish many Friday night plans. The Iron Ravens later-than-past-month/day arrival led to a search patrol around the proper with Sergeant MacKenzie and Kitt. (sp?) Coming back to the Dragon's Claw at the conclusion of an uneventful patrol only to hear the din of battle at the monastery. Ended up missing a planned investigation and Gaian mass/Mixolydia's remembrance.
-Leslie's epaulettes are great! The guard is really getting their stuff together!
-Some chats among some the Heargen clan, and an invitation to a "friendly brawl" Imrahil is most intrigued by!
-Later night mobs bestowing the first go-roll-in-logistics effects for Imrahil - Twice. Looking forward to playing on them. One is just so subtle, it might be there a while! :)
-Enjoying that Imrahil is getting to be well known enough that people are sending him students.
-Getting to observe as Ilana performed Buckles reanimation. She's so nonchalant about the most grisly things, I love it! (The previous oog overhearing the healer admonish a spirit not to lie at the first nexus gate was entertaining as well!)
-So glad to have discovered just how necessary earplugs are not long ago. Brought enough to enlighten some of the new npc's too!
Saturday;
-Mass at Kaledonia; Jason and Rebecca as always giving a thoughtful and poignant sermon. That as usual, gave Imrahil something to ruminate on later in the day...
-Long day of guard duties; a dozen escort details, and 7 arrests during the day sets a record for Imrahil.
-Bought a neat trinket for a friend from Dave's merchant npc. A tasty one shot 50 ap!
-Getting my first rune seated. You do clean work Mr. Patterson! Magic damage woot.
-Opened up a new list. Good to play with you as always John!
-Observing some divine conflict.
-Shen Style lessons about to begin as bad news arrives from the Shen temple... Some excellent rp to see, and a glimpse into a previously unknown schism. Great play from Gus, Luis, and (forgive my memory) another player I met this game.
-Discovering the empowering feeling of getting to reply "minimum", and opening a new line of investigation with the guard.
-Quick and enlightening rp with Angelianna and an assist from Maralas; and that knowledge proving useful mere hours later...
-Another show of steely resolve in the Kitchen this month - To all who helped in one way or another, I will gladly splint any broken arms caused by eager self back-patting!
-A quick chat with quartermaster Goggins beginning to reveal his true genius! Not that there was any doubt, but the depths are opening!
-Bumped through three groups before landing in Sir Silverbow's contingent heading to main mod. Clove, Rowan, Zero, Sister Danae, and a few others whose names I am ashamed to not know, and later absorbing Kitt. Now that's balance! Owned the reliquary part. Then things got crazy. Got separated and ended up eventually falling into line between Squire Renaith and the bubble of Angelianna, Swyft, and Atrus. Kudos to Rebecca on the creepy giga-spider; nice work!
-Escorting some new players to their tent by the mage's guild, and some great rp banter the whole way. Sometimes the best rp is when it's nothing of any consequence. Getting to know Kitt and Evee (sp?) a bit better. Looking forward to finding some 7 and 9 star astrolgical/astronomical charts for you Cory!
-Imrahil being humbled by the praises of two men he draws inspiration from.
-Some meditation on Caldor's earlier mass, and feeling better.
-A+ rp from Grimkjell. Imrahil intends to convince him there was no dishonor in his nights performance.
-Best night of sleep in recent memory for a feast weekend.
Sunday:
-Still beat, but you know.
-Malycite priest encounter; proving yet again that in Travance, it's really the people you need beware! Thanks for saving the ridiculous end of that card for those with the defenses, John! Final arrest for the weekend.
-A brief sharing of cultures with Kitt. Heel click-and-bow! You're a blast doll, there will be many co-adventures in our future!
-Tracking down Quan Liu to see to the previous days interrupted lessons, and being regularly interrupted by swarms of undead. Conscripting a past student to aid in a lesson for a new one. The joy of sitting in while Quan Liu and Raxxas took down trolls and undead without even getting up from their hookah!
-A little surprise from Nalick-via-Ilana. I have to say Mars, you certainly know how to throw a hook at people!
-Discovering I had made good impressions upon many of the weekend's full time npc's and hearing of the enjoyment of both them, and the new pc's during cleanup.
-Jason catching me post lay-off to shoot a really cool idea off me I look forward to playing with - Seriously Jay, I've got a foig for you; the timing of your invitation is perfect!
Overall, big thanks to the staff, officers, marshals, deputies, players and npc's on a heck of a weekend! Let's do it again soon, eh?

Ekat: Bat, I need 4 prisoners to peel potatoes
Bat Cooper: Alright I'm on it
Barak Tellinghast: I approve of this
The four NPCs actually RPed talking about what they were in jail for.
(Later)
Bat Cooper: How are the prisoners working out
Ekat: Very good
(Bat Leaves and Ekat does a head count and finds three)
Ekat: Wait... Didn't I have four of you?
Thank you Tiffany and Crew. You guys were fantastic.

Jack's arrival back in town. AHHH I was so unsure about Ava was going to respond. I knew it was going to be either from like fall to her knees happy or berate him angrily. I'm glad it was just "push everyone out of the way and hug him too tightly and for an awkwardly long period of time." Then fully needing direction and permission for everything for a while was fun. Hopefully it wasn't too awkward for the people in the monastery when she kept asking Jack if she could eat or drink.
The continuation of "Emotions: The story of Ava and Angeliana" continues. I always like our talks. Ava is really surprised that Angeliana hasn't given up although it fills her with such weird feelings when Angeliana expresses her caring for her.
Another event of "You really ARE Orias 2.0" Which is funny because Ava shares only a fraction of her mannerisms with him, but alas, this is the life of Ava: Chaos warrior.
And Ava adds to her chaos warrior students. Ava likes being able to help mold the mind of those who wish to learn about Chaos. Also teaching a lot of other random stuff. (In particular teaching She break limb which goes something like this:
Ava: -explains about how the arm can move in certain ways to make it easier to break-
-Ava looks at she, then laughs slightly-
Ava: Though between you and me, I'm more for the 'hit their bones really hard with the flat of your blade so they shatter' method.
Arza's courage lesson. Ava knew just where to strike fear to trigger a courageous response. I promise not to destroy Rostavella too bad
As an NPC, playing drunks. That was hilarious and I was horribly irritating and my favorite parts were getting Goggins to make his wrench speak, as well as "gems" and the following:
Nick's Drunk NPC : -Says something drunkenly to Torq-
Torq: Sorry I don't swing that way
My Drunk NPC: -Slaps Nick on the back and with a tone of realization- I DIDN'T KNOW YOU LIKE SWINGS
Did a lot more fighting then I normally do, especially against undead. If you don't know, Ava doesn't like fighting undead because she's mostly delegated to hit it in the face a million times until it falls down. Which, honestly doesn't bother her, but she really likes messing with minds so it's not really helpful if it doesn't work.
Orophin and Ava funtimes
Deep Rift mod...which was retrieve the stone AND heroic Psion mod. Let's just say Ava quickly became part of "Team kill Psion" against her will. We were successful though so that was good, even if I did spend most of that mod dominated.
To the sunday morning malycite NPCS, Ava just wanted to talk to you guys about chaos, but you all had to ruin it by being angry and attacking
-Ava approaches Imrahil and a Malycite-
Ava: Is this the malycite?
Npc confirms
Ava: -Says something about Imrahil being a guardsmember-
NPC: So he is part of the guard?
Ava: Yeah
NPC starts attacking
Ava: I JUST WANTED TO TALK ABOUT BEING A CHAOS WARRIOR WITH YOU. WHY DID YOU NEED TO RUIN IT!?!?!
Expertly disarming the priestess later so she could be taken in without much of a fight. Also yelling at her about the same thing. My favorite reaction was someone who was like "Cool" when I did it.
Being harassed by Edgar of Pendarvin and that crew. Also, just another day in the life of "Ava: The chaos warrior who is sometimes seen with "sketchy" people so people assume, though she's been dealing with it since she learned from Orias" Highly irritating to Ava but amusing to me OOG. Let's just be glad Ava knows how and when to make good life choices.
Also, I know I don't always throw a shoutout to the kitchen staff for feast, but I always appreciate the time it takes you and the things you do to keep feast happening! I don't think I could ever be able to do what you guys do with cooking for everyone and I'm always grateful for the food you prepare for us because it's delicious

General stuff…
200 players? No really…. 200 hundred players? No way….
*counts*
Holy crap…
For the record- I hate humidity with heat.
Feast- what I ate was tasty. *applauds*
AAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL the new Players- both PC and dedicated NPCs. You guys were great.
Friday…
Patrols, patrols patrols…. Kit and Imrahil, you two rocked as patrol companions. Of course, this led to…
Monastery Attack- for the love of the Land, you people were rough. Not everyday you fight against a Dragoon Cultist.
Comments about my using a bow… Yes, I do use one. Lemme show you…. *shoots*
Gaian Mass… Interesting subject that the visiting Valosian seemed to try to make about Valosian Ideals. Departed afterward due to All About Mass benies and sour taste in mouth over Valosian dogma at a Gaian Mass.
Some fights in the dark afterward. Fun stuff… but crashed out at about 0230 for rest.
Saturday…
Morning Volunteer NPC mod… and it was a good time for me too.
During Day…. More shenanigans with Kitt. Fighting Bandits and undead and showing exactly why I am use a bow.
Blacktree- I wish to state for the Record that you have a lovely small target.
Imrahil- I look forward to teaching you the path of Ranger.
Tower Mod: FINALLY GOING ON ONE and GETTING TO FINISH IT! Irony to this is that I am now no longer allowed to go on it due to new level restrictions.
-Shade, Duncan and Kitt with archer shenanigans, with Shade & Duncan forcing the Bad Guy to run like a scared Rabbit from us.
- NPC Monster dropping Kitt. “You leave that Elf alone! I’m rather fond of her” and thumping monster. Picking up Kitt for real and bringing to the healer before heading back in was awesome scene the player thanked me for later.
-Bow-swapping shenanigans with Shade when the level specific magic effect hit. Poor Conor having to continue to run from us as a result….
Prefeast…
Fighting monsters and again demonstrating outstanding placement. At last three NPC’s were like “Get Him!”
Psuedo Target Practice with Aella…. Where we were each others targets. Good times!
MAIN MOD
Npc Duty and the pep talk to my fellow NPCS. “What are you playing? This is how we should do this…” and the resulting carnage during mod by us mooks while the Spider housed people. That spider…. Holy shit. It was on our side and scared me.
Leslie- I wanna say I am sorry about that. You were opportunity and I did not know Wulfgar was trying to kill you…
I want to give props to both PC’s and NPC’s; you guys were awesomely safe and cognizant of where you were as you fought. Well Done!!
Post Main Mod, I was sooooooooooooo tired I actually crashed out before 2am. However it was not before Hearing about Gideon and Ardin’s sacrifices (I was stunned… and yet, strangely not surprised) and a wonderful conversation with Lady Silverbow. Always a great chat.
Sunday-
Up in the morning early and down to the Inn for breakfast. Wonderful chats with various folks and a question from Maralas about me and religion. An interesting trade/compromise from this talk…
A discussion with Gideon on what had happened…. And learning he was still a Priest of Brazen. The talk about that Diety and the tenets of the faith solidified a decision- especially when the subject of teaching being crafting came up.
Off to Kaladonia for master warrior training… which got delayed by a Kracken.
Taught two people and a sparring match with Sergi… This was a blast and Would Spar Again when I am far fresher.
Interrupting Grimjell’s training of Aella even more fun- I’ll let him mention it.
Right afterward came Master Warrior training… Exhaustion is a thing but I wasn’t about to let it slow me down. Three Opponents, three different weapon styles to face. The hilarity of two Celts fighting highlands style in the last battle was awesome. The insults that flew… could make a barbarian blush.
This carried us into End Of Game and the end of another KR weekend.
Overall, the weekend was great nad falls into LARPED, Will LARP Again.

Everyone else, thank you guys for the fight you gave me. I had a blast, and I hope you guys did too.
Special thanks to Logan and crew for NPCing for me during 2-6 and staying in the area under the barn for over an hour. Every time we got PC's to you guys the conversations you were having as your NPCs were flat out amazing and really lent credibility to the fact of where the PC's where. For the PC's who know what this was about you guys did awesome and I hope you all enjoyed it.

First off, I want to say thanks to the staff who ran this weekend and made it awesome. There seemed to always be something going on and it really made the world feel engaging.
The Good:
-All the Players. Interacting with everyone was tons of fun, and the new players really kicked butt getting started with us. I look forward to seeing more of you guys and what becomes of you. Very excited!
-The Food. Yum, amazing. Kitchen folks, you rocked it.
-Tower Mod!!! I did eeet! I actually went! and got to finish it! I got lewt! For like, the first time ever! As a healer, it's remarkably rare for me to search enemies when I'm too busy healing mah buddies. So Tower mod was awesome, meeting an old friend, Kit. Willow attempting to shoot a bow under Kit's tutelage. Realizing Willow using a weapon he's not proficient with could be both hilarious and terrifying.
-Getting to see the cavern zone for the first time. Getting to heal people. Shield of Nature saved my bacon so hard...
-I actually got gacked with an achilles strike and a waylay, falling flat on my face after being waylayed was hilarious, even the npc laughed. I swear it didnt actually hurt, although I bet it looked like it did.
-Talks with Meander about the world, people, words and mannerisms. It was truly enlightening and fun to pick your brain about what certain things meant. Very thought provoking conversations.
-Learning about religion and faith from Brother Aldric and Lucien. Somewhat after that asking another clergyman of a different deity if their dad was a god too. Considering how Willow was taught that Valos is like a father to his followers, he translated this literally. (insert laughter here)
-Being able to see some of my teachers, but every time I was out as Willow they were all super busy. Was nice seeing you guys! In a way I was super busy too, was my first event focusing on healing everyone. Ran on empty a lot of times.
-Grasp with Roots. Fricking awesome.
-Learning about Alchemy
-Sleeping in a tent was awesome! Having bed sheets was awesome! (I forgot those last time, *bonks self on head*)
-Showering was awesome!
-Spaceship!
-New Armor worked out great. ^^
-MAIN MOD OMG FRICKING LOVED IT! Thanks Joe, Rebecca, Damien, and Steve for brain-childing and letting me help you all make the mod awesome. It was an incredible perspective to have, and watching the roleplay by the NPC's and PCs was incredible. You guys immersed me and I was just a spider-butt who shot web at people.
The Bad:
-Heat + Humidity makes me a weeping willow. I felt narsty after being in it for awhile and while I'm glad my makeup didn't run, my garb made it difficult to stay cool. Had to take a couple showers over the course of the weekend to feel human again.
-Did I mention Heat?
All in all, this event was BA. and I had tons of fun with people. I look forward to next time!!

2) Healer shenanigans.
3) Fantastic RP with several people. (too many to list here)
4) All the new players, fantastic job to both the NPCs and PCs.
5) As always, "arts and crafts" at the Shady Acres Retreat.
6) Getting to FINALLY interact with Quan Liu and some of the other warrior monks as an NPC I've been wanting to play for a few months now. Very happy with how things turned out.
7) Fantastically executed spider NPC on main mod, down to the glowing elements.
8) Life Stream, such a good skill to have this weekend.
9) Dave's merchant NPC actually having to come back to Logistics multiple times to restock what he had to sell. Refilling that treasure box like a pro!
I'll edit more in as I remember them.

- Keavy specifically asking Illyrin for information on what they were probably being sent to the Rift to find - and being absolutely right about both the Wyld Stone we were seeking as well as the bow that we found
- Similarly, realizing that Illyrin is starting to really make a name for himself in Travance
- Gideon and Ardin Silverbow both sacrificing their magic? Holy hell!
- Also realizing that Illyrin is finally starting to become a pretty decent fighter, all things considered
- Lots more that I cannot currently recall because what is sleep
I absolutely loved this event, 10/10.

2. All of the nervous energy created because of all the new players, both PCs and full-time NPCs. Looking into the Barn on Friday night and seeing it packed. Making a bunch of new friends.
3. Hearing everyone share their favorite memories of the Baroness. I wish more people showed up, but it was quite enjoyable. Thank you for hosting us and for the delicious spread. "This food was provided with love; I wouldn't want that love to go to waste."
4. Heeding the advice of Nadine/Mother Remi, going on a very early-morning jaunt over to Alisandria to watch the fog roll across the water and the sunrise.
5. Selling goods on behalf of the White Lotus. FINALLY. Short-lived, but I did sell some things.
6. Heart-to-heart with Squire/Doctor/Mister James and Sir Pluvious.
7. Angeliana sacrificing her own vision to cure the blindness of a young girl named Cally. Then witnessing Cally experience the world around her. Followed by general silliness with Cally and her friend Frank until late into the night. It was almost sunrise. Jen, I loved your NPC,your arguments with various townsmembers and the overall roleplay. Incredible.
8. Drinking a whole bottle of ale by myself and acting accordingly. Much fun. I need more drunken roleplay in my life.
9. Nalick had the second-most awkward conversation he's ever had. The first was last month and with the same Sylph. She enjoyed the poem that I read to her, but the ensuing whatever-you-want-to-call-it that followed was a flop. Rattling off a list of her abilities, she offered to use Silence on me. After a bit I said, "You know what? Maybe you should silence me." For the next five minutes, I was a silent Bard. I love how people reacted.
10. Wine and conversation with Swyft
11. Looking around during main mod and realizing that, yep, these are all NPCs.
12. Feast. That meal was delicious and I owe the cooks a hug for more than one reason.
13. New bards! I count at least four bards I hadn't seen before and I'm excited and thankful.
14. The new bard who played her violin at feast. You're awesome.
15. Maja and Eralyn singing together on Friday night. Tori and Goose, you two are wonderful.
I may have forgotten a few things, but I'll see you all again soon.

Before I begin, I want to give a massive thank you to the kitchen staff, I truly appreciate all of you, as should everybody.
Now...Let's write up some highlights, eh?
My Friday night consisted of bar service of which I'm sure that a lot of people appreciated. Man, I didn't think it would be so tough to clean up, sweep and dry mop the bar at 3:30 in the morning...You would think people would be...Elsewhere.
Saturday had me up early. I had a nice relaxing walk and did some berry picking. Sébastien? Berry picking? Yes. And they was tasty.
Afterwards, I was eager to go on a mod into the rift but was cut back due to paperwork. Ah well.
My NPC shift was 2-6 and had me as a psionist and a possessed Celt. That's it. NPC duty flew by for me this event. Psionics are nice and all...But that mod convinced me that it's not my forté...So...Thanks..? And as for the possessed punch-throwing Celt? Let's just say that I almost suplexed Kanas Wisperwood and was killed by a lightning strike from one of our newer friend-os. (Great job). Re-spawn and get dropped into submission only to be taken by Grim. You feel awesome when your NPC gets thrown into cell zero by Grim.
Feast was mellow for Sébastien. I waited very patiently for food and then sat alone to eat where it was nice a peaceful...Away from the bards :)
I didn't attend Main mod. I stayed back and spent most of that time RPing with Clytie. It was a relaxing and fun experience and neither of us got killed. Good talks, May. Good talks.
On to Sunday morning where I finally enter combat as my PC. And I made sure to go nuts with it too because I really needed to get in some combat. I pulled of some leaping strikes and snake bites. It was just another day with your friendly neighborhood chiropractor. (Destroy ALL the spines!) Oh, and Kit...You're welcome.
Kraken mod? I didn't fight much but it was fun to watch :) Excellent job, everyone.
I enjoyed my weekend and I hope everyone had a great time as well.
I want to thank the kitchen staff and all of our full time NPCs. Thank you guys for all of your hard work and dedication. I for one truly appreciate it.
Have a great and safe "vacation" until your next events, my friends and until next we meet, Au Revoir!

Merciless slaughter is always fun, then I find out they were picking and choosing their targets, and I had to respect that and stopped slaughtering the Iron Raptors.
Necromancer off!
NPCs on my shift, you guys were the best. Seriously, the best.
Confusion on main mod, leading to the reveal of the legit horde of undead awed me.
-Losing a contact didn't stop me.
-Neither did being put into crit twice.
-Nearly got Litany'd, jumped the gun on that I guess.
-Finally got Bellock down, scrambling to find Bloodtide as he apparently dropped it, and cofirming I found the right weapon when my hand started bleeding.... forever
--Trying to wield it, realizing I never could, passing it to my left to the only one who could
Still have a red hand.
Holy crap I don't have blood anymore, that's weird.
Turtle.

I entered the game leading a grotesquely blind Atrus, making good on my promise to grant him protection during the whole Mage's Guild Proclamation debacle. His appearance certainly didn't make it easy!
I was really nervous about how people were going to receive it, and it certainly raised many an eyebrow and earned me more than a few concerned lectures. The most severe being Grimkjell's!
(I learned later though, that it was because he really cares, because when I was soul harvested and there was no one nearby to get me out of crit, he was nearly sobbing, screaming for Rowan to keep me tethered! It was really touching! Thank-you for your excellent rp, Grim!)
Angeliana was amazing in her calm, assertive defiance of the Angel of Valos' reasoning to kill Atrus or to rile up the others enough to kill him. Things got pretty heated and sides started forming. Aldric looked so sad and tried so gently to get me away from Atrus, that it was killing me inside! At one point I truly though that Quan Liu was going to try to strike him down which made me sad beyond compare, but Angeliana and I put ourselves in the way, trying to explain about the value of patience and redemption and Goodness... There were a lot of feels going around, and I saw some wet eyes. (Mine included!) Really, some intense role play all around, guys. AWESOME scene. Could barely have scripted it better.
The Angel came around again and called Atrus out from where we were in the kitchen with some folks. Angeliana stood in the doorway in front of him again and yelled reason and logic at the Angel, but I guess he was done listening. He body blocked (I think) her aside and struck at Atrus, upon which his wings kind of... blew up.
That moment said a lot...
Trying to intervene with the Atrus and Lucien “honor combat” plans near the armory was difficult. This was mostly because I couldn't stay there for any long period of time to make sure no one hit the ground for too long, because there kept being screams for help in opposite directions. I told them both, very sternly, that if I found someone dead, I was going to do something awful to whoever did it. I wore myself thin trying to be in so many places at once, and each time I growled “I MEAN IT”s as I ran past them. Fortunately for all, they just talked, calmly and too quietly for me to hear most of the time. They talked for a very long time, but no one lifted a weapon, and that made me happy and approve of Lucien much more.
Also, I learned something really important about Jed, this event.
Main mod with a blind man was certainly not a good idea since we had to go up the Totem Pole trail to get where they wanted us. I ran poor John into so many tree limbs that we were both in hysterics at the end of it. I'm so sorry, dude!
Then I ran into a golem. Like, literally. Hooray observational skills! Thank-you, Charlie, for that Displacement buff!
Later on, after the madness of Main Mod, Nalick took Swyft on a date, explaining that he had a gypsy hex or something of the sort that made him have to ask a number of ladies out on dates. So I happily obliged, as he is just a darling little fellow, and we chatted over wine and laughed and went on a “romantic” stroll through the woods to escort Amizar and Illyrian to their respective sleeping quarters.
Everyone was so tired from staying up so late Friday that a lot of us called it a night fairly early (via Larp time, anyway.) I got a solid five hours on Saturday night as opposed to the two on Friday! But before I did, I got to go to bed with the knowledge that Magnus approves of what Swyft is doing, and that's really the only opinion she cares about in this situation! (Unfortunately found this out OOG, though, so I can't have Swyft acting too giddy in game about it, lol.)
Sunday morning was a usual blast, starting out with taking the morning stroll with Jonas to wake everyone up before the monsters did. However, there were just so many people on the camp that we didn't get to wake up a single person! Jonas was quite disappointed with it.
Dat Kraken battle, though.
Dat ETERNAL Kraken battle.
I was jealous, kind of. I wanted to be in the lake too, it was nice and cool and beckoning. I thought it was a great mod, what a cool concept! Too many of us got almost-drowned too often, though. Some of us pulled some sweet moves dodging noodle-tentacles. Most of us, did not, however. Haha.
Getting caught on the back dock between two people wielding noodles was distressing. Back to drowning I went, haha.
As usual, great event, everyone always makes it wonderful. This one, in particular, was full of intense RP and I regret none of it! I had a seriously great time with everyone I had the pleasure of interacting with, good AND evil! Thank-you all!

Special thanks to everyone near logistics Friday night who put up with my freaking out about my cat escaping. Thank you to everyone who helped me look for him and especially thank you to Aaron B who stuck with me all night and finally helped me catch him after many ridiculous hours filled with scratches and bee stings.
All the new players where awesome! There was also a very large group of new players who NPCd! It was great having so many NPCs on every shift, and it will be great to see many of them as characters in the near future! I was blown away by all of you!
Feast was fantastic and delicious as always! Thank you to everyone who busts their hump in the Kitchen! With the intense heat and the normal chaos of an event, it is sometimes a stressful task, but all the hard work is no doubt appreciated by the entire game who benefits greatly from the service. Everyone would do well to remember that these people help out of the kindness of their hearts and their love for the community; praise and satisfaction of success is the only true rewards they earn from it.
Coming back in as the Count to once again take control of the town was difficult, only because doing so, means you need to make an impression on day one of the take over. I held many large meetings Saturday night, and made some sweeping and dramatic changes. All of these where carefully weighed in my mind, and will lead to what I believe will be a more satisfying environment in many different areas. Trust me when I say it will all turn out just fine, I promise!
I was blown away at both the randomness and appropriateness of Gideon and Ardens decision to give up their magic. This was completely one hundred percent, un-staged, but somehow worked out hugely appropriate for where their futures where headed. Congrats to the new Guild Mistress!
I was busy setting up for my meetings, but I have heard that main mod went great! Thank you for everyone involved, including the great make-up job for Bellock and also the awesome spider costume created by Joe H.
Thank you Katie and Jeff for running an engaging sea monster battle Sunday morning! Thanks to Goose for some interesting RP and direction for the Clergy! Thanks to Damien for helping me bring the new order as the Counts right hand Sir Victor. Thanks to Tori and Goose for creating what I was told was an awesome scene right after lay-on, both visually and audibly. Thank you to Mike S. for coming out just to help the players with their items Friday night and Sat Morning.
Thank you to Steve O for running a successful weekend plot!
There are likely a dozen other “thank you’s” that im missing right now as well as other fabulous highlights, however I need to get to camp to start work for the week. Thank you all for being an active and great part of this community!

New player walkthrough was a bit of fun. Killing his first bandit, the cry of "OH, THEY"RE GOING TO HAVE TO STITCH YOU BACK TOGETHER...IN HELL!" I am sure made people giggle. I think there that the goat rope at the end was due to one mod starting as another was on its ending loop. It happens. I did get yelled at for the Lantern, but I learned a valuable lesson about not trying to gut things out. Most of us military vets will try to gut things out a bit more than we should at times. That was my moment of dumb.
Saturday was....interesting. I was recruited into the Baronial Guard, and got downed by a flood of undead. Jack Dimms snuck around after the undead were busy and healed Brigitta and myself. I went back into the fight and got reduced to one body. Thankfully Gideon healed me. Between that and the later armor repairs, Donald is forever grateful to him and Jack Dimms.
Inverted tower was...interesting. I think I broke the Marshal's brain when he realized how simple it is to check my card. Later, demon possessed things were attacking and one used freeze limb. Okay, I have a sword and a left hand. whoops, there goes the other three limbs. Thankful for a heavy load of armor- I knew that large plate would be useful. though, there was little of it left after she was done. that taken care of, cue the griping about him never going ice fishing again. cue more possessed people, and another exchange:
"I can't let you do that. he's being put under arrest."
"I'm just going to cut his balls off."
"YE MIGHT AS WELL KILL HIM AT THA' POINT!"
Feast was good, despite the flap. Leathernecks will eat almost anything when hungry. I think when the stove was redone, the "hot" and "cold" spots shifted. no one's fault, just things not known. After feast:
"All the beer will be gone."
"That's a bad thing?"
"THE TOWN WILL DIE OF THIRST! OF COURSE THAT'S BAD! ARE YE DAFT?"
"What's a daft?"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAH!" *shaking spear at sky in frustration*
"I think I broke his brain."
NPC-ing around main mod time. at this point, I'm hurting. I needed to get off my feet a bit, as I haven't hurt that bad since a 12 mile hump in my Marine days (thankfully, I had no blisters this time). so I dressed as a commoner and scoured the empty places for trash and missing things as a truffle hunter.
Sunday started very badly, but a little time spent pounding water and 4 motrin and I was ready to go. Taught Shafted Mastery to Valentine and earned a favor under my tam. Almost got taken down by an orc. Left a little early so someone wasn't driving a long distance alone, and still have to run something by staff as an idea, but we'll see how that goes. My character may be dragged kicking and screaming into the realm of literacy (and the wonders of civilization), but we'll let that play out.
I will end this with a song:

First: Thank yous! Thank you to all the marshalls and staff who work so unbelievably hard to make sure that we have a safe and amazing time! Thanks also to the kitchen staff who provide delicious meals. Cooking large quantities of food and having it taste good is challenging. Thank you to all the players who work so hard at staying in character and role playing with great skill! Thank you to all the NPCs who entertain us and make the event creepy, scary and crazy! Special thanks to my group of NPCs for this event, you delivered so much! Finally, thanks to all the folks who stay at Winterdark and make our environment such a great and fun place. Love to you all!
Friday: Started off with amazing roleplay by Chris Z. You rock hard core!!!! William Cooper was crying and shaking and twitching and then Caldor shed a tear and then Maralas was crying. William had a great impact on me! Thanks again!
Then it was off to Winterdark to get ready for Mass. I enjoyed mass; but maybe next time we can save discussions for AFTER mass? Still, it was good RP and I loved having you all there! I also got to meet a few new players who were great at RP! Thanks for coming Kitt and the gorgeous Bedouin Lady whose name I have forgotten!
The celebration: I was just getting ready to set out food when Victor came in: "Tell me what happened." he said in an emotion choked voice. Ah, you broke my heart. More tears and consoling. In the middle of that, I get yoinked out to the main room because Gaia came to visit.
Such a wonderful job done by Alice and Ben. Alice looked so beautiful all in green with such a gentle smile. Gaia washed Maralas' feet and kissed and blessed her and then was gone. I'm still reeling a bit from that!
There was no time to reflect because people were coming in to Celebrate Mixolydia. Lots of great stories. I had planned out what I was going to say and it was supposed to be happy; but Victor broke me again and I wept as I delivered my closing thoughts. Thanks to all who spoke and devoured the foodstuffs! Much love to you all!
After that I had some nice time chatting with Aldric whom I love and accept for the Valosian that he is!
Saturday: Gaian Mass number 2! I was so pleased to be at Caldor's mass! It was beautiful and in a beautiful space. I was honored and happy to speak with my friend. After, penance part 2. Leslie and John, you guys were great! I was so completely pleased by the RP amongst you and Caldor! Just amazing!
Then it was off to the inn for a bit. After saying hello to a few folks and chatting with Rudolf, it was pennance part 3! Charlie, you did a great job being angry and then reeling it in some but not completely. Beautiful!
I had some more great RP with Victor, Pluvious, Meander (and some uber crafting!!!) and a few others. Then a quick conversation about Gaia and what it means to be Gaian. Then I was late to mass! I spoke again. After that, it was not long before I got to hang with the Bishop! Much love to you, Laura for a really beautiful walk and conversation!
I was Logistics Marshal in training for main mod; but I got to hear lots of great stuff about the Speeeeider boss! Thank you to Joe, Chris, Steve and Damien for all the hard worrk, cool ablilities and RP! I can't wait to see pictures.
Sunday: My second baptism! It made my heart happy! Then finally, the last part of penance for Caldor. May, you were beautiful and perfect! It was a wonderful end to the penance and I am glad that everything went so well. Thanks again. Then hanging out for the Luncheon, eating watermelon and getting to chat some with Kitt and Meander!
I am sorry that I have written a book; but I just did not want to leave anything out. I had a great time and the RP was amazing!!! Thank you all so very much!

This event really surprised me. I will be blunt and say I was not looking forward to this one, but I had so much fun. The amount of people made it so much more immersive.
Main mod was great.. getting yelled at and threatened by a noble for watching everyone's flank to prevent us from being swarmed and being told to front line was interesting . Yelling back at said noble and telling him he was stupid was also interesting. The joy of being a Dryad is the lack of understanding hierarchy.
Thank you Zipeto for stuff. Sorry if I confused you. I think there was a misunderstanding due to the tiredness of both our brains. But I had fun and I am interested to see what happens next.
Watching Gideon flip out at the bar and being concerned.. then realizing that he just gave up a lot to day so maybe people should cut him an immense amount of slack.
That Kraken fight.. lasted FOREVER. I have blisters on my hand from an hour of doing constant steady shots. My biggest complaint is that we did not stop steady shotting sooner. Oh Beardy McFeatherbow.. Thank you for taking a chance and shooting in the water to show me that they do float. After that I was having a ball and getting drowned. That fight.. that fight.. I will say that there was one NPC tentacle that looked like he was having waaay too much fun. I will admit I was kind of envious.
Also a thank you to Owen for flipping me off because I shot through a small hole in a bush to hit a monster and actually killed that monster. It did make my day ego wise.
Thank you to the KR staff for a fantastic job.
