What a fun little day for folks! I brought my friend and her nephew out.... Fion and THE RED GUARDIAN!

That kid is gonna' be 5 next month and let me tell you, he had such a GREAT time! He was revved up for a big part of the ride home before he finally passed out. Thank-you to those who interacted with him and made his day such a memorable one. I know he got a little overzealous at times, but omg was he the happiest kid ALL DAY.

Between the perfect timing of the kid mods and the availability of the sparring ring and the rampant amount of food and Sasparilla (omg that Sasparilla was so good) THE RED GUARDIAN was never bored.

He was SO proud of his spider slaying. Thank-you so much for that, guys! He really had like, the best day ever.

Special thanks to Steve and Matt, for coaching and indulging him so graciously! :)

The food was plentiful and delicious! Thank-you to the diligent cooks and all of their hard work!

My first master warrior lesson with Ulric was AWESOME!

Watching THE RED GUARDIAN beating up on Evrat was hilarious. Sorry about that Josh, but thank-you for indulging him. He made you his number one enemy!

Homuculii shenanigans.... Oh man running into Matt as one in the inn all by my lonesome was a startling experience. Good thing THE RED GUARDIAN showed up at the end of the fight to end it. ;)

The children found the need to target both Swyft and Aleister for their deadly games... and right after the master warrior lesson, too! Unfair! After fleeing for my life for quite some time I had to find sanctuary in Trent's bardics for a breather! Hehe.

Overall, it was a wonderful time and good to see folks and their families!

This is my first time doing an "event highlight" post.

First off, I had so much fun at the festival, and it was great seeing all the kids running around attacking the adults.
I made some pretty bad OOG decisions like taking a bite out of a habañero pepper. Never doing that again.
I taught a session of how to throw knives to a couple of the kids there. It was also my first time using the skill "teach".
Others shooting arrows and throwing water balloons at Grim and Berkhart.
The food was fantastic, and some of the burgers were gigantic.
I had some rather manipulative conversations with a few people that support magic. And as a Londwyn I disagree with such things.
I had a lot of fun and can't wait til the next event in September.

The "Travancian Swear Jar" needs to be a regular thing, but dear gods and goddesses, if there is a "Innuendo Jar," I'd be broke a week ago.

I was at the Festival, but Nalick wasn't. After helping out with the food and cleaning up a bit, I got to be a fly on the wall during a few scenes. It's an interesting experience. So many times, I had to remind myself that I wasn't actually there and couldn't chime in with a point or a pun. That last one would have earned me a growl or two.

I had never been to a Family Day before, but it's a great concept. A lot of the munchkins had great enthusiasm and I hope they come for real in a couple years.

I volunteered to be "the wizard turned to stone by the wicked witch (Lauren Feingold)." In theory, the kids had to kill the wicked witch, thus freeing me, and more importantly (to them) the box containing their tickets for random prizes. What could go wrong?

Marcus "Maybe if you whacked him with hammers it would break the stone and free the box."

None of the kids had hammers, so Marcus, with a mind like lightning (fast and crooked) said "Ya know, maybe water would work. Yeah, if you poured cold water on him it might melt the stone..."

Fortunately, Diane convinced them that killing the wicked witch was the best way. Bloodthirsty little thugs...
