In Honor of St. Astrid's Day- A Date for you! Brought to you by the Baronial Guard!

In honor of St. Astrid's Day, and with the blessing of Baron Victor Sylus, the Baronial Guard has decided to throw a Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction of some of our members! In an unprecedented occurrence, both the Knight-Captain and the Vice-Captain have decided to put themselves up for Auction as well! The following is a roster of who is up for the choosing, so look well and get your funds ready!

Now that you know who is involved, here are the rules:

Firstly, you do not have to be present to bid! Up until the Thursday before the feast, you may message myself with a private bid detailing your full name (OOG: Name and Character Card) and your top bid. This will then be used in the auction itself. If you win, you shall be sent a missive as soon as is feasible!

Secondly, if you decide to bid, be aware that the utmost respect shall be shown to both you and your choice. There shall be a dinner, prepared by Mistress Aella, the wife of Gothi Caldor Eirson himself, for yourself and your date. The dinner shall be free of charge and will likely take place in June, when the weather shall be nicer. That being said, you may bid for almost any reason including getting a lesson! And get a dinner on top of that!

Thirdly, this date does not mean you own this person. You may not order that person to do anything they, themselves, do not freely wish to do. This is a celebration of friendship and hope. If anyone tries to abuse this, they will be spoken with harshly.

Lastly, please have fun! Bid for your friends! For your loved ones! All proceeds will be going to the Guard and to the Barony. All funds gained through this shall be carefully kept track of- if you want to know where your money went, simply ask and you shall be told and given proof.

The time and place for this event shall likely be on the Saturday before the feast at around 1 bells in the afternoon. Again- if you wish to bid and cannot be present, merely let me know and it shall be considered! Sergeant Nalick and I, Allyce, will be organizing it with Seneschal Lois Maxwell assisting.

This is good. I may inquire at a future date as to where specifically it will go to, if only because my experiences with this sort of event have been, for lack of a better word, upsetting to say the least.
