I'd like to be a gypsy

I went to kr in hickory run for the mother's day event. I am Sarah Hartman. I was wearing a green head band because of my 2 cracked ribs. I hope that will jog everyone's memory. I want to be a gypsy but I need a background story. Can someone help me?

Here's some tips...

Most Gypsies wander, and don't come from a specific place, like a "civilized" person would.  The big things you would need to decide are:

Who is your family, and where are they?

Why are you in Travance?

You could be lost, and looking for a home, or you could be running away from a bad family member (such as an evil aunt that was a Necromancer).

If you're a big reader, check out books by Charles DeLint - he does a lot of Gypsy stories, which might give you some ideas.  Just don't copy them - that would be boring!

Also, something you might want to consider:

One of the old rules about gypsy racials were that gypsies had to have some kind of family curse. While this is no longer a rule, if you think of something that might fit your character and add to the flavor of RP, it might help with the rest of your story.

(PS: Slowly but surely our numbers grow... GYPSIES FTW!! )

I definately like Geoff's idea, reading or inspirations from movies are good. I came up with a few ideas that I liked and then just kind of blended them together. Just don't have a ring you have to return to Mordor, or swear you're born to bring balance to the Weave or anything

P.S. Charlie, Tobar doesn't need any bastard daughters, because that would be a female he couldn't hit on. And that just wouldn't jive with him, now would it? 

I would view Tobar fathering a daughter as poetic justice.  I'd pay good gold to see how he would react to the situation.
