It isn't enough to talk about peace, one must believe it.
And it isn't enough to believe in it, one must work for it.

Today (Tuesday, November 4th, 2008) is
VOTING DAY
Please vote! Even one person is enough to make a difference.
If you're registered, and don't know where your polling place is, here's a handy look-up thingie:

I know there's a no-politics zone, but I'm bumping this because voting is important, regardless of who you support.
Please go out there and vote today!

People are doing their civic duty. I never had to start in line outside in 31 years, but today I did. I was voter 457 out of around 1600 at just before 10 AM.

Tina voted at around 4:30 and was number 1020. The line was short, but over 60% had voted with over three hours to go. Am studiously not watching the news until 10PM and Indecision 2008.

Brother Germaine: "You know, the enemy that has menaced us for over a year and murdered many of our friends? He's dead."
*a couple of nods*
Arlington: "I believe you can attribute our subdued response to the fact that we're eating bacon."
Brother Germaine: "You have bacon?"
