Acrylic paint question was created by Caelvan (Caelvan)
Hey guys so I'm painting my shield with acrylic paint. But it seems like it'll chip when I use it/ it gets hit. Any suggestions for keeping it on there/protecting it?

Try putting some kind of finish on it? I don't know what material you are using, but if it isn't foam you could probably find something clear you could spray on at the hardware store. I know spray paint can destroy certain kinds of foam.

If it's polyutherene, then a simple coating of watered down PVA glue (elmers glue or White Glue to you guys) should do the trick. Then spray with fixative (matt varnish usually).

Easist option is to simply use paint pens. They last longer without any kind of coating. But if you want, try clear packing tap to cover the design.
