GPS Sytems don't work through the Great Rift?

Hi there!

Something I meant to ask the last time I drove up to Camp Sac!

When I put 844 White Lake Road, Sparta NJ 07871 into my GPS, it somehow does not allow me to put 3-digit addresses for that road. I can put 84 White Lake Road, or 44 White Lake Road; but not 844 White Lake Road. Does anyone know why this is?

Or, even better, know of an address that I CAN put into my GPS that will get me there? Last time I just used my phone and the maps function to try to figure it out, but a GPS address would be MUCH simpler.

I blame Steve's plot for this weekend...

Typing it into Google Maps, it comes up fine. However, the township seems to think like Steve, and there's multiple White Lake Roads around, which might be the issue.

I would say use Google Maps to find a landmark nearby (like the Sussex County Technical School), and plug that into your GPS. From there, it should be a short hop to the camp, using a printed map.

Hey I had that problem years ago. I put pappa ronis restaurant in my gps. (sorry I couldn't give you the address I don't have a computer atm. Use google). The camp is the next light make that right and come straight down till you get to the camp.

I thought it was 834 ... not 844....

Bill (my normal ride) puts in 1 white lake road. And when we get to White Lake, just makes the right to the camp. We come from SE Pa.

I figured this out really quickly. Find a way that gets you close. When you arrive in the parking lot tell your GPS to find out your current coordinates this usually comes with an option to save this exact location without an address.

I do this all the time when my GPS takes me someplace other than where it should and I know I need to go there often.

Doesn't help you get there now but for the future it works.
