Companionship for the Winterdark Ball

Dearest Friends,

The Winterdark Ball is fast approaching, and in my travels around our lands, I have heard many lamentations of those without someone to accompany them.

In these trying times, we should be brave and go after that which we desire most. Life proves all too short in our beloved town, and missed opportunities abound. I have witnessed a great need as of late, and I wish to remedy it post haste. And so, I am offering up myself as a match maker of sorts.

Are you perhaps too shy to ask the woman you have your eye on? Are you afraid of rejection by the handsome man you wish would ask you?

Allow me to be your intermediary.

If you have someone in mind, I will gladly ask them for you, sparing you the possible humiliation. If you simply wish someone to accompany you, I will match you with one of our other towns members who are also without a partner. We could all use a little levity in this post-war world, and the Winterdark Masquerade is a perfect time to get to know your fellow Travancians. The Ball need not be all about romance, it is the perfect time to cultivate new friendships too.

Morwenne and I will be working together on this. While I am not as strong of an intermediary as she can be, I will go to great lengths to help those without specific people in mind find companionship. With the help of some directed questions we will work with you to find the best match for you for the ball.

I willna be going this year, but are the two of ye planning to do something o' this nature next year? I am not sufficiently refined to be in polite company, nor in a place wi' so many table settings.

While I do not know who wrote that last request, I am always willing to do this sort of services. Assuming there is a ball or similar event next year, I will plan to do it again.

Well if I do decide to go to the upcoming ball I would require some decent clothes for it. If I were to obtain the proper attire I would be more than willing to accept your assistance.

Sadly I will not be in attendance this year. The timing is ill for travel out to Winterdark on a personal level. Besides I went stag last year and missed out on other things. While you are all in finery dancing with your beloved I'll raise a glass to you while the War Dog and I sit around the fire in the crisp air and hopefully bright stars for companionship.
