Back to: Category BestiaryThe Mind Flayer, also known as an Illithid, is a creature of terrible mental powers. Gifted with the ability to control the minds of others, they are highly intelligent and thoroughly evil. Mind Flayers live in subterranean cities much like the dark elves. Their mental powers are usually of such great power that they can dominate entire villages under their control. There is no sure way to kill an Illithid, unless a well devised plan is executed properly.
"Simply remember, keep a calm mind and foster benevolence. Walk in the light, and let goodness be your shield. Someday, we will all triumph over this chaos and evil and allow peace to flourish, but only if we remain steadfast now. The true test is before us every day."
~Lord Gorn Solcastin to Roland Darkstone, on life in Travance
