PC of the Month
-
Oakroot McBane
Clark has developed from just a kid wearing sweat pants at game to a competent, and well costumed role-player. It really feels good to see someone's confidence, ability and attention to detail grow so much in such a short time. Several players have said Clark sets an example for good RP and constantly remains in-game. Oakroot’s in-character’s leadership skills have been noticed as well. He has become a PC that others look up to for training and guidance through excellent RP which stands out as an example to others, particularly newer players.

Sam & Vince's Tent, the Bloody Stump
We would like to recognize a couple of people who really brought it this month for an important category that is essential to great atmosphere and helps set KR apart from other games. Vince and Sam's tent area’s in Kaladonia’s camp. Their particular tents were well decorated, kept IC, and despite the weather, had tapestries displayed outside of their tents. This was really appealing, even to a casual passer-by from the roadway. Great job! The Bloody Stump by Dan and his crew really made an in and out of game effort to have a functioning eatery in the middle of a grass field. They made the best of a few pavilions, picnic tables and crude platform tents and tried to create “the bar at the edge of town.” They hauled several coolers, grills and props to their site, maintained the area and really pulled off a different experience from the Dragon’s Claw Inn. It was also cool to be able to buy an assortment of foods with almost any budget, for in and out of game compensations. We will all look to see how the Stump evolves from here. Thanks for the effort guys!

Emily & Katie as the Succubi
Emily and Katie agreed to take on the challenge of playing Succubi in Agra-Xuls court. They would have to play a role that demanded a cruel and evil demeanor, but also needed to appear alluring and approachable to the PC’s of Travance. Their portrayal of teasing, mixed with a twist of sadism was perfectly portrayed. They were smart enough in duping the players while still making it entertaining at the same time. They were energetic and kept things fun and good natured, even while getting attacked by hoards of players during battles. Their constant pokes and jibes at the PCs were perfectly done. They continued to goad the PCs and be sadistically creepy even as they were skipping through our lines. They brought a level of apprehension that allowed just enough fear to their scenes for the PC’s to still get involved, but never be comfortable. These two were terrors to behold!

JimBob and Chris Ayala
Jimbob and Chris are they type of Monster Marshals that aren’t satisfied with just sending out encounters. They have a pride that shows in what they do. They actively try to keep the monster cabin neat, clean and in order even when it is not their mess. This is not only helpful to the game as a whole, but makes a more comfortable environment for the NPC’s to relax and focus on their roles. That sort of initiative is admirable. In addition, their encounters are interesting and well organized. Their contributions are not just because of what they do for their logistics presence alone, they bring a lot to the game, they RP wonderfully and routinely write up short term plots for their npc shifts for each event. Going over and above is something they do regularly. From coming out of game to fill in for an extra Monster Marshal shift or getting NPC’s exited and interested to do the same, the guys really deserve to be thanked for their contributions!
