Rules Updates for St. Patrick's Day (March 17th, 2009)

Several updates:

Positive Energy Concentration has been changed as follows:

This skill allows a character to channel positive plane energy down her arms and out through any weapons that she wields. To use this skill, the character must concentrate for five seconds, after which she may strike for +1 damage - with the blows inflicting the positive energy (Posi) damage type - for a duration of ten minutes. This skill can be charged simultaneously with the skill Negative Energy Fortitude.

This resolves the multiple weapons / disarming questions.

Flesh to Stone has been changed as follows:

This spell turns a being and her possessions to solid stone for a duration of 15 minutes. The  being is trapped, and movement, speech, and even thought are impossible.  The being possesses no memory of the time spent turned to stone.  The stone is magical in nature and impervious to harm or alteration.  A normal humanoid converted to stone requires at least Strength +6 to move.

Note that Flesh to Stone still does not halt one's death count - this was extra wording that was redundant (since if it does not state it, it is not in effect).

Meld with Earth has been changed as follows:

This spell allows the caster to become a part of the earth for a duration of thirty minutes. The caster cannot be affected in any way while in this form, and cannot move or be displaced from the location that she melded. If the location where the caster is melded is surveyed with any detection ability that pierces red-headband concealments, the nature of her condition is observable to the surveyor.

The Druid Spell "Commune with Nature" has had the trait "Red Headband" added to it.

The Wizardry spell Lesser Dispell has been changed as follows:

This spell strips a specific magical effect from the normal spheres of magic upon a recipient or opponent. The caster must state the effect she is targeting with the dispel, and if the recipient or opponent is not under that effect, then the dispel is expended with no result.

This fixes a glitch / typo left over from the last revision of the spell stating it removed all magical effects.

These have all been added to the Online Rulebook.

Who is the person inlove with the un necessary phrase "for the duration of?"

That phrase does to me what the word "psion" does to Matt and Roy.

For Positive Energy Concentration should we still be taking the base damage after the effect expires?

Nope.  It's no longer listed, so it no longer applies.

Personally, I plan to continue to RP pain, as well as encourage the other WHs to do so, though we'll no longer actually take the BP damage from it.
