Concerning the Hookah Lounge

Hey everyone,

I'd like to thank everyone who helped out with the Hookah Lounge this past event.  A lot of work went into the planning and set up and without that help, it would have never happened.

In order to keep the lounge as part of the game, I'm going to ask for two things to happen.  I'm going to need anyone who wants to smoke the hookah to bring ID to show me either before the game starts or during the game.  I'm going to stamp your hand/wrist/appropriate body part so you won't have to carry the ID all weekend.  This way we avoid any problems with underage smoking in the lounge.

The second thing concerns the hose mouth tips (which are used to keep the swine flu and Steve Oros from spreading).  The lounge and everything having to do with it (mouth tips, hookah, shisha,coals,etc) is paid for exclusively by me.  I don't mind doing it because its fun and brings added atmosphere to the game.

In order to keep my costs prohibitive, I ask that when you get a mouth tip, you keep it for the event.  It will be your readmission to the lounge from now on and if you lose it, then you will have to pay for readmission.

Again, I'd like to thank everyone who made the lounge as successful as it was and it can only get better from here.

That sounds completely reasonable.

I don't think I'm alone in expressing my appreciation for all the time and money you put into the lounge. It really made my event! 

Having the hookah bar become an established fixture would be amazing.

We'll have better music next time, I'm getting a big slew of belly dance music. hurrah!  and hopefully the iPod dock won't go kaput ... i'll be super pissed if it does. >_<

Yeah, the lounge was absolutely awesome.  On a semi related note, Chris, I have some tent poles/rods/spikes/what have you in my car still, I'll give them to you next event.

Yeah the plan is to bring a thick carpet so no one feels the ground anymore   As well as pillows to sit on.

Each time I put it up, it will get better.

John, are those my poles/spikes?  It looked like I grabbed everything, they might be jimbob's.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh...what did they look like?  I can't think of anything I could have left.

That sounds more than reasonable... and I'd hate to catch a case of Steve...
