Knight Realms OOG Party - Sept 5th was created by Gallion (Gallion)
Knight Realms Party
On Sept 5th at the Spiegel residence we will be having an out of game gathering. This gathering will serve MANY purposes, but I will list just a few.
- Organizing the new KR Trailer: I am purchasing a trailer for KR so that all of our props are from this point on, well organized, and safe from mice, and mold. It will also be far easier to access than the storage units, and so costumes and masks will be cleaned in between each weekend.
- KR Seminars and Classes: Such as Combat Safety, RP, Make-up, How to get involved more, How to submit a Plot, How to be a MM, What to expect as an NPC, etc…
- Meet & Greet for newer players: A chance for newer players to socialize and get to know everyone as well as ask question of the staff.
- We’ll provide some good food for everyone throughout the day.
- If the weather is good, anyone who normally sells oog goods are welcome to set up a table if they bring one.
That’s really just a generic description and we will have a more detailed posting next week.
These details are not complete, but it will probably be only ten dollars to attend for the day, and you will probably have the option of buying up to +3 build at $10 dollars apiece. Anyone who purchases at least one point of build will be allowed to self teach a skill.
- You may be free to compile questions in this thread, but please do not expect any official answers until after the weekend. Thanks!

Matts not a build whore; really what's Fogrom gonna do with more build? If it was made of paper he would burn it to keep warm in the winter. :)

Fogrom doesn't need to stay warm in the winter.... the cold is too afraid to go near him so it stays a pleasant 75 degrees with a cool breeze within 2 feet of his body.

It's pretty obvious from the post that all the details are not yet worked out - James more than likely just wanted to make sure people knew the date as soon as possible.

Would it be cool if I dressed in costume and acted like I was in costume? I have been really looking for something to be mocked about and this seems like it would work nicely...because clearly there is nothing else about my personality or way of life that is open for ridicule.

Directions can be found on the sidebar, but it is in Pipersville, PA, 5.2 miles north of Doylestown, PA and 30 miles S of Easton, PA. It is around 20 meandering miles NNW of Trenton, NJ. It is also around 8 hrs away from Hamilton, ONT. :)

Will this be a dry event, or will alcohol be served? It seems a shame to go to Charlie's for any kind of party and not have a truck full of beer...
In all seriousness though, if alcohol will be served you could do what someone else did for a party where they wanted to serve alcohol, but not have people get drunk. Card people at the door, and give them one of these wrist bands
www.pdcorp.com/en-us/crowd-control/3tsp-...-tab-wristbands.html
You tear off a tab for each drink, and when you're out, you're done. Just an idea :)

But seriously, it would be a shame to hang out at an oog thing not be able to throw back a few beers... assuming you're of age.

As for the social drinking. Its likely that it will be allowed, but im not gonna mess around with bracelets. You guys are responsible adults, just don't "Overdrink" If anyone abuses this, i'm gonna pissed as hell FYI. Obviously we will be diligent to check to make sure ONLY those who can legally throw back a beer or two are doing so.

Maybe just say anyone who is seriously intoxicated gets a Rules Violation and is asked to leave the event once they are safely able to. Also, you might want to re-think the "No wristband" policy. Even if you don't do the tab wristbands, you can go to Party City and get some cheap paper wristbands for like 20 bucks. It's a good way of scanning the giant field at Charlie's and seeing who should/shouldn't have a beer in their hands. Because let's face facts, everytime I see Liam drink a beer I always think he shouldn't be.

Should we mail in payment for the optional build buy or give you $ there, and will there be a means for us to give payment in advance for the next event(s) or should we still mail in a check?
Also, on the drinking front, I strongly suggest there be some form of watching out for underage, but also for anyone who is driving who is tossing back a few too many. Since this is a person's home, we not only have to respect his residence, but also keep in mind that he is ultimately liabel if someone leaves intoxicated and gets hurt. Crazy law, but that's how it works. Be responsible :)
