Future Event Dates! was created by Gallion (Gallion)
Here are the dates for Hickory Run:

April 9-11 (Shehaqua)
May 7- 9 (Shehaqua)
May 14 - 16 (Shehaqua)
June 11 - 13 (Daddy Allen)
July 23 - 25 (Daddy Allen)
Sept 17 - 19 (Shehaqua)
Oct 8 - 10 (Shehaqua)

*There are back to back dates in May... one will be a normal event, the other will be the Annual "Alt" event. We will advise which is which as soon as we decide.
* August event date will be coming soon.

April 9 is 4/9.  Mother's Day is May 9 (aka 5/9).

We are lucky we didn't get Easter.  We got Mother's Day, but we've been got it last year as well, I think.  No Father's Day, Independence Day, and September event is way after school starts for most folks.

Yeah she was saying that two mother-related events fall on event-dates.  That sucks :(

Usually when our event dates fall on holidays, its the Sunday of the event... its not like you cant leave early if you have to. Get over it! ;)

I think we are ALL damn lucky to have a game that meets so frequently, and we can pick an choose which events we can go to, all or miss a few for whatever holiday we observe or are important to us. Back in the 80's when I started larping (there was no foam, we had stone phys reps of our weapons, and the lacerations were a badge of honor for those who paved the way...lol) events were sometimes many month's apart and holidays were missed because if you missed that event, you really missed your larp for awhile.

SO....I'll just have to tell Mom that she will have to be appreciated the week before...because the week after is an event TOO! lol

I got an image of Cardinal Haigan, with frost in his beard, and a stogie...

All of the events have been entered into the Upcoming Events / Calendar, in a newer, easy to read format.  When the Alt event weekend is announced, I'll mark that event as such.

I'm sure I can find this with digging, but for expedient sake, whats the difference between the two PA sites? Just down the road or something? I had only been to one (that I recall) last season at that camp ground area. I've got that programmed into my gps, so want to make sure that I don't go to the wrong place and update now ;)

They are two different campsites within the park.  Daddy Allen is the one with the paved paths of death, and Shehaqua is the other (better imo) one.  Once you're in Hickory Run, just follow the signs and they'll lead you to the appropriate camp.

"•Continue on this road (Still 534), and follow signs to either Camp Shehaqua or Camp Daddy Allen.  You will enter the park, go down a very windy road, and past the Ranger's office.  Once you pass the office, there will be a sign for the camps - the first turn is to the Left, and is well marked from there.  You will make 2 more lefts, one at each fork in the road.

•Camp Daddy Allen is on your left as you go down the hill, right after it, there will be a bridge, and the entrance to Camp Shehawqua straight ahead. "
