Minor Rules Update: Bathrooms are OOG was created by GJSchaller (GJSchaller)
While this may seem like a no-brainer, it's not actually in the rules... so we're making sure.
Since a lot of people are likely to ask:
- The interiors of bathrooms (and the people in them), including wash houses, are considered to be OOG at all times. The building themselves are IG from the outside - a character may interact with the outside of the building.
(New rule, to specify, since the Kitchen is IG - the Bathrooms themselves are not.) - A player may not hide their character, items, or anything else in the Kitchen or Bathrooms under any circumstances, including storage in those areas. Anyone found hiding themselves (including avoiding combat) or anything else in these areas will receive an immediate rules violation.
(Bold indicates changes to the existing rule.)
Since a lot of people are likely to ask:
- If you choose to go take a shower or use the bathroom, you are IG on the way there, unless you choose to put on a white headband and go OOG. You are welcome to do so - but you're not OOG unless you actually put the headband on. (This is not a rule specifically for the bathrooms - this is common sense. Do not assume you're OOG just because you have a bath towel on or need to pee really bad.) We STRONGLY encourage you to stay IG at all times, but understand if you wish to go OOG - just please do not disrupt the game while doing so.
- There is a difference between combat erupting outside the bathroom while you're using it (which happens), and running to hide from combat in the Bathroom (which is a Rules Violation, based on the new rules.) In the event someone feels you may be avoiding combat, a Marshal will make the final call. Similarly, if someone is "Camping" the bathroom waiting for unaware victims to come out, please consult a Marshal.
