Rules Update: Healing and Undead was created by Ardentfyre (Ardentfyre)
The following updates are being made to the rules:
The following text is dropped from the Healer (Wounds) rules:
"A wound ability that is successfully delivered to an undead being, a lycanthrope, or a True Warlock will inflict an amount of direct body damage to the being equal to the number of points of healing it would bestow to a living being."
The following (sub)trait has been added to the game:
Healing (Offensive): This ability may be used to target Undead. When used in this fashion, the ability gains the Ranged trait, and must be delivered using a Spell Packet.
The rules for Undead, in the Minions section, is updated as follows:
The following abilities have had the "Healing (Offensive)" trait added to them:
Lay Hands Minor (Priest, Sacrement)
Lay Hands (Priest, Life)
Cure Light Wounds (Healer, Wounds)
Cure Wounds (Healer, Wounds)
Cure Minor Wounds (Druid, Vitality)
Cure Serious Wounds (Druid, Vitality)

The rules for Undead, in the Minions section, is updated as follows:
- "Healing will do normal damage to Undead, at the rate of 1 Point healed for 1 Damage to the Undead. A skill or ability must have the "Healing (Offensive)" trait to achieve this effect."
- All instances of "x2 damage from positive" is updated to "x2 damage from Positive Damage attacks." This specifies that attacks with the Positive trait, but not Positive Damage, do NOT do double damage.
The following abilities have had the "Healing (Offensive)" trait added to them:
Lay Hands Minor (Priest, Sacrement)
Lay Hands (Priest, Life)
Cure Light Wounds (Healer, Wounds)
Cure Wounds (Healer, Wounds)
Cure Minor Wounds (Druid, Vitality)

Does this also affect the Paladin Lay Hands ability?

Alright, then I should expect to see the language changed to reflect this change, because as it's written currently I can use it against the undead.

Do items that have been enchanted gain the healing offensive.
For instance, a ring that has Lay Hands Minor - does it gain the healing (offensive) trait??

It goes off what the effect that is called is, regardless of the source. Wether it's a ring, a scroll, or cast by a person donesn't matter - what matters is Lay Hands Minor.
