Week in the Life - 2012 notes was created by GJSchaller (GJSchaller)
Some of this was mentioned in the old post for last year, but buried in there - it's worth repeating for this year, so here we go...
- Please remember to bring washing supplies. Five days of early summer LARP funk is downright offensive to the people around you.
- The same can be said for clothes - please plan on a change for your PC, or a trip to wash them at some point.
- Make arrangements for food for the early portion of the event. While some people will be cooking, there is no formal arrangement such as Feast or Market Faire, so plan ahead!
- The new Higher List system has come into effect since last year. James has confirmed you can both teach, and learn, a "dot" worth of learning a list during each portion of the event. (i.e. - you can teach / learn two dots in the same list during the whole week).

Can you complete learning a higher in the first , then learn a skill off that list in the second part?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know where the closest laundromat is in relation to camp? That way we can all raid it on Friday afternoon to get our clothes clean again

I asked this question before and I believe no one answered me on this, so I guess I'll do it here.(as per the description page of week in the life)
•All abilities that last more than one period last the entire duration of the Week in the Life event (Valence spells, benefits from Mass, Fates, Traps that have been set during the extended portion, etc.).
Does this mean that I can set a trap, then add two more instances to that trap during the extended, or does the trap I set count as the skill for both events?
ex. Trap set on extended has concealed alarm, during standard weekend I add injury waylay trait, so it becomes a concealed, alarm, injury, waylay trap?

Does this mean we can now use a higher or lower list skill we learn during the week as part of a prerequisite now? For example, can I learn a Rank 1 Higher list skill, then learn a Rank 2 higher list skill during the main event? And if so, does that mean we now have the skill we learned during the week at Lay on on Friday?

Short answer - yes. The following rules for the event have been changed:
Skills, Abilities, and Points learned during the extended portion of the event are still being learned for the rest of the event - they may not be used on the weekend portion (i.e. - your card is not updated between portions of the event).- Skills, Abilities, and Points learned during the extended portion of the event are considered learned for the second portion of the event. This includes using skills learned as a pre-requisite during the fisrt part, which may be used to learn new skills during the second portion.

Basically all rules go towards what is most beneficial for the player. In that case, you can have one insanity cured during the weekday portion, and one insanity cured during the weekend portion.

Will all the build from both the extended portion and the regular portion be available right away? Or do we get to spend the extended portion build first, and have to wait until Friday to use the rest?

You should have all of the build you have paid for available to be used. So, if you pay upfront on Wednesday for the weekday and weekend portion, you can start utilizing all of that build right away. In other words, as soon as James writes on your card that you have paid for/earned X build, that build is considered added to your "unspent" and "total build" fields on the character card and is available to be spent on learning skills.

I just thought of this question.
The bonus build from doing extra NPC shifts during the week portion. Is that applied to any and all characters you pay for, or do you have to choose one character to give it to?

Bonus Build, other than the specific +1 you can buy at check-in, is always applied to only one PC. Otherwise, people with more PCs are getting more rewards from the same action.
