September 21st In-Game Festival! was created by Gallion (Gallion)
On September 21st we will be holding a one-day in-game festival at Camp Sac. It will be considered a "Family Friendly" event and we will encourage players to bring thier children or parents to partake in some family friendly activities and adventures. All this in addition to the normal Festival activities. More details on this special event will be posted up the closer we get to September.
People will be allowed to arrive Friday Night if they wish and stay over till Sunday morning if they wish. Sunday we may hold a camp work day and people who choose to help out can earn more build.

Thats a good question. It would count as a festival as far as logistics go. As far as characters go it would be your normal characters, however I understand some people bringing thier family might not have the family life fit in with thier existing character, so if they wanted to play a different persona and just get credit for thier regular character that is possibly one solution. We will iron out more of these details as we get closer.

For anyone curious about how Festivals work, since we haven't had one in a while.

I have a question for some friends. Does the one day festival have Mods and combat like a normal event, or is it more like WITL with heavy RP and light combat?

It completely depends on the theme of the festival, and this is the first time James has dubbed one "family friendly", so only he can say what his plans are for this particular one day event.
That being said, it is usually lighter combat with activities, a combat circle of some kind, and lots of role play. I've been to a few festivals in my time with high mortality rates, but I doubt that's the plan for this one.

Im still working on details of this. Generally what Kristen said is correct, they are usually RP heavy with light combat or in-game games/contests/tournaments etc..
Because I am adding a family friendly aspect to this, I am trying to figure out how I can squeeze in some fun adventure/mod(s) for the kids. This will likely be achieved in some fashion, though the details are not yet ready.

Thanks for the replies. I am hoping it will be the triumphant return of Xod, in addition to the first time for some friends.

I love NPCing for kids, so I sincerely hope there are some fun adventures for the lads and lasses.
