A clarification on the smithing rules - any weapon that is normally made from steel, may instead be made from iron. This choice is made at the time of forging, and has no game mechanical effect other than that the wielder swings for "Iron" damage when attacking an opponent. Iron, and Iron damage, have no special properties in and of themselves. Any benefits or detriments caused by Iron damage will be listed on the target's card. Units of iron, like steel, are assumed to be plentiful and free, and do not require either purchasing, or a card to track them.

Iron weapons have a duration of three months, written on the card at their time of forging, due to their not being as durable as steel.

If you have iron weapons from a prior event, please see Geoffrey for a modification as needed.

What if an iron weapon is made Superior/Exalted, or even enchanted through Sorcery/Ceremonies with something like Faerie-Bane? Would doing things like that be counterproductive since it would just fall apart in 3 months? Or would doing that overcome the expiration?

Iron will be unusable in 3 months no matter how well it is crafted.
