Kickstarter Coin Drive! Ends Wed. 9/11 at Midnight! was created by GJSchaller (GJSchaller)
Knight Realms will accept coins from this Kickstarter that is making new Fantasy Coins for gaming:
www.kickstarter.com/projects/cqgames/the...al-gaming-coins-ever
There's about 12 hours left in the Kickstarter, as of Noon today - sorry for the late post, but get them while you can!
For each "Set" of coins you donate, KR will give you 1 Build and 1,000 SP. Sets become cheaper as you order more of them - at 10 or more sets, they become $10 a Set.
When you request your coins, please request Gold or Silver coins (Not bronze, copper, etc.). Doubloons are preferred (the I, V, X sets), but any set will be accepted.

Anyone want to team up and get one of the 10-set packs together? I sure as heck can't afford $100, but if enough people promise to chip in for it, we could buy one as a group. Obviously, you can claim rewards for every multiple of $10 you throw in.
Not having enough IG currency is a nightmare - we need this!

Karen, Charlie, May: Excellent, thanks! Just throw the cash at me pre-game in October (or September, if you're at the Festival) and I'll give you as many packs of coins as you've paid to sponsor - you can then take them to logistics to claim your Build and Service.
Conveniently, it looks like the coins will be with us in November (yawn) but, then again, the best things in life are worth waiting for. And these are some damn good-looking coins.

As I've had $200 promised in sponsorship - twice what I had expected! - we're going to up the order to 30 sets. Anyone wishing to throw down for the last 10 sets is more than welcome to do so!

OK, so here's the deal on choosing sets:
Their Tiny and Smalls are too small for us to use.
The color of the coin is linked to it size - Mediums are Bonze (will count as Gold for us), Larges are Silver, Jumbos are Gold.
NO DOUBLOONS. They are too small. I originally wanted them because they were labeled I, V, X, but they're too small, and will be the wrong colors (Copper & Brass).
Their Mediums are our 1 Gold coins, and come 40 to a Set (or more, due to Kickstarter bonuses).
Their Larges are our 5 Silver coin, and come 25 to a Set (or more, due to Kickstarter bonuses).
Their Jumbos are our 10 Gold coins, and come 15 to a Set (or more, due to Kickstarter bonuses).
In order to prevent everyone from flooding the game with 10 Gold coins ONLY, here's the rules:
You cannot donate more sets of Larges, than sets of Mediums.
For every Jumbo set, you must donate 2 Larges first.
So if you ordered 10 sets, you could donate 4 Medium sets, 4 Large sets, and 2 Jumbo sets.
You can choose to donate just Mediums, or Mediums and Larges, instead of Jumbos, if you want.
When the time comes to pick your sets (They will email you), pick sets of Mediums, Larges, or Jumbos of the art of your choice. The number of coins in the set will vary - larger coins will have less in a set than smaller ones. Please try to avoid coins that have historical words on them (i.e. - avoid the Roman coins with "Caesar," but the Pirate coins are fine, as are the Mythological, Greek, and Egyptian ones. Foreign alphabets won't ruin immersion as much as the roman alphabet will...). Full art will be posted on www.cqgames.com/ when it's ready.
When you turn in a full set at Knight Realms, you will be credited 1 Build and 1,000 SP per set, following the rules above.

An update from the company making the coins:
www.kickstarter.com/projects/cqgames/the...ns-ever/posts/597629
Important bits:
1) You will have the chance to increase your pledge, or to get in on the action, once their website is updated.
2) "This will hold open until all art is final and all molds are made. At that point, your orders will "lock" and production of the coins will begin. We're guessing that will be around November 1. We've been quoted 45 days for production, and five weeks for shipping from China. So, if this schedule holds, around January 20 the coins will be at fulfillment and the process of shipping will begin."

I was going to pick my coins, and it seems they kept changing on me to the point where I don't know if what I wanted to pick is appropriate anymore. I wanted to grab some out of mythlogical creatures, but I noticed the writing on them may not be appropriate.
Can we get a list of acceptable categories to pick coins from?

Avoid Roman, Middle Ages, Egyptian, and Doubloons / Pieces of Eight. All the others should be good. (It's mostly the references to historical names we want to avoid.)

Actually, while I'm here... two things.
Cheers
- If anyone wanted to buy a pack of coins or two - but missed our bulk buy order - then it looks like we have the option to add you on at this point. Please contact me posthaste if you'd still like a few packs, and I can add you to the order.
- For those who have already promised/paid money for parts of our bulk order: If you'd like a particular coin theme (Viking, Celtic, whatever) please do let me know! If I don't hear from you, I'll put you down for a random (allowed) theme. Which is totally fine as, to be honest, they're all pretty snazzy, and I'm getting a mix of themes anyway.

Many of this project's backers are complaining that it's a total nightmare to get your hard-earned metal coins. If you, like they, are finding the ordering system a bit tricky to navigate, here's how to do it:
1) Navigate to the appropriate order page (see below)
2) Select a pack from the drop-down
3) Click "Add to Cart"
4) Repeat (2), (3) as many times as you've paid for
5) Click the little shopping cart at the top-right of the page
6) Click "proceed to checkout"
7) Enter all your billing info
8) Click "Next"
9) Enter your reward certificate (the crazy code that they will have messaged you on Kickstarter)
10) Profit
The page you want to order off seems to be dependent on your pledge level. Here are links for each of the different pledge levels (essentially, click the one you ordered.)
1 set
2 sets
3 sets
4 sets
5-9 sets
10-29 sets
30-59 sets
60+ sets (you maniac)
Hope that helps!
1) Navigate to the appropriate order page (see below)
