Core Rulebook Update - March 2014 release

The Knight Realms Core Rulebook has been updated, and is now available at:

www.knightrealms.com/game-play/rulebook.html

The biggest change is that all of the changes in the past 9 months - 50 Build to Start, changes to Pre-Requisites, buying of Body and Profs, Runes & Sockets, Bound Items, etc. - is now in the rulebook.

In addition, the following minor changes were introduced:

• A list of all of the "Learned" professions (i.e. - not Starting, Penalized, or Prohibited) is included with each race.
• A chart for referencing which professions are Starting, Learned, Penalized, and Prohibited for each race has been included.
• The skill Weakness vs. Necromancy was missing from the rulebook, it is now added.
• The paragraph on what you may do while Invisible has been moved from the "Casting Spells" section to the section regarding Headbands, and now applies to all Red Headband effects (not just invisibility).
• The Dragoon Spirit Colors section has been brought up to date.
• All Knight Realms Staff are now Officers - there are no more Deputies. This has been updated across the rulebook, and the website.

In addition, the Logistics Reference Guide has been updated, including the new AP values, the worth of general items, and a new Fate of Fortune list.

The Master and Heroic lists will be in their own book - the Advanced Rule Book - which is currently a work in progress.

Sweet! I understand that the rulebook is always updated, but is there going to be another one in the near future? Also, will this most recent update be in Logistics either this event or next event?

The next one won't be until July at the earliest, to prevent wasting paper, toner, money, etc.

You are encouraged to keep a copy of the PDF on a tablet or phone, to save a tree. She might even give you cookies.

Logistics - if someone donates a printed copy, then yes. I won't be at the Alt Event until late Saturday, so not before then.

Jason Marin caught a small formatting error (Missing lines on the Gambler profession skills table) - if you already downloaded it, please do so again. (Unless you don't like Gamblers, in which case you're OK.)

A major formatting error was fixed, and a new version uploaded. No rules changes, but the current version is now April 1st, even if the cover says March edition.
