It would seem that Yahoo is blocking all email from knightrealms.com (forums, card system, and personal emails) from reaching any Yahoo mailboxes - not filtering it as Spam, just outright blocking it. I've made repeated attempts to contact Yahoo's customer service to resolve this, but I keep getting an automated response noting that they are unable to help me.

At this point, I need help from anyone that has a Yahoo email account. Please take a moment to go into the Help section of your account, and file a report that you are not receiving email from james@knightrealms.com - hopefully, with enough people reporting the issue, they will allow mail to get through again.

I have it on good source that Yahoo has been attempting to make changes to their infrastructure in order to have "better control" of it. What this means is that they have implemented several archaic technologies on the back end whose purpose is to force people to use their pay-for services out of frustration or necessity.

Yes. Yahoo is outright blocking all email, not just a soft bounce.

If Yahoo asks for an error message, it is:

Note that they are blocking us, and they will try to insist that Knight Realms is doing something wrong... but they won't say what. Be forceful, and note that Knight Realms sends NO unsolicited email, and you are upset you're not receiving the mail you subscribed to. (Those specific words are very important.)

Thank you - I am still seeing bounces, but they may be from up to 48 hours ago.

Don't let the pressure up on Yahoo if you aren't seeing emails - they will likely block us again by default.

Unfortunatley, old emails are already dead, and cannot be recovered (Yahoo simply kills them). The person that sent them would have gotten a bounce message, so they would know they failed.

So what's the overall suggestion for those who have yahoo accounts? Should we just make E-mail accounts from sites like g-mail, or microsoft outlook, and then write those ones on our cards?

Unfortunately, the answer is yes, it's best to set up an account on a service other than Yahoo.

Being someone who does Information Technology for a living, I'm seeing Yahoo in the news a lot recently for some really stupid policies and ideas which make their email service worse and worse. Basically, in an attempt to stop spam, they are blocking lots - and I mean LOTS - of legit emails, too. My opinion of them as a service provider and business has plummeted in the past few weeks, and I don't think they can keep up with the likes of Google and Microsoft / Hotmail for long. (Given they keep having management issues, too, I'm not sure how much longer they will be around.)
