Winter's chilly grip has finally given way to the rain of Spring. Birds sing, flowers are beginning to show their colors. There is a collective exhalation from the beings of the land as if to say "we have survived". The farmers of Alisandria have put out the call for workers to help with the planting. The lumber mill in Kaladonia is finally up to full speed. The watch towers in Pendarvin are fully rebuilt and operational. The last of the damaged ships has been repaired and the docks of Drega'Mire have been turned to their former import and export duties.
We have survived. But the reward for surviving is more work.
Hellock Keep was recently on the brink of anarchy. Guardsmen had been murdered, prisoners were released from the jails and refugees began to hoard their meager food supplies. Sir Cypher put out the call that aid was needed and all corners of Travance answered and answered with authority. Well over a dozen of the Heroes of Travance swept in to reestablish the rule of law. It took only 2 days to return Hellock Keep to a functioning town, but it was not without cost. The casualty estimates range from a dozen to over a hundred dead. Sir Cypher tried to reason with some of the prisoners but was briefly overpowered and wounded by an angry mob which subsequently cut off his hand. Stories have emerged from the chaos of brutality in the retaking of the town with accusations flung at the Heroes. People calling them "Butcher" or even "Murderer". Still others were thankful for the intervention and called them "Saviors". Only time will tell what really happened in Hellock Keep, but for now there is peace, and a curfew.
But perhaps Hellock Keep was not an isolated incident. Several Guardsmen and their families were murdered while they slept in Vallenroe during the time that Hellock Keep was being reclaimed. The investigation there is ongoing.
In the rest of the lands life has more or less stabilized to a new kind of normal. The flood of refugees has stopped and the refugee camps are nearly emptied. Folks have either found a permanent place to stay or have decided to make their way back to where they came from. Those that have stayed are finding work, making homes and starting a new life for themselves. Yet they have much to learn about live in Travance, which is never boring.
OOG: This marks the end of the "Manage Refugees" Land System action, new actions will be coming for use after this event. Actions may not open up immediately after this event to allow me time to get the new actions into the system and announce them. Please be patient.

Cabin of the Month
Sam & Vince's Tent, the Bloody Stump
We would like to recognize a couple of people who really brought it this month for an important category that is essential to great atmosphere and helps set KR apart from other games. Vince and Sam's tent area’s in Kaladonia’s camp. Their particular tents were well decorated, kept IC, and despite the weather, had tapestries displayed outside of their tents. This was really appealing, even to a casual passer-by from the roadway. Great job! The Bloody Stump by Dan and his crew really made an in and out of game effort to have a functioning eatery in the middle of a grass field. They made the best of a few pavilions, picnic tables and crude platform tents and tried to create “the bar at the edge of town.” They hauled several coolers, grills and props to their site, maintained the area and really pulled off a different experience from the Dragon’s Claw Inn. It was also cool to be able to buy an assortment of foods with almost any budget, for in and out of game compensations. We will all look to see how the Stump evolves from here. Thanks for the effort guys!

Mixolydia: "It's terrible that you should have a bottle in each of your hands and I should have none in mine."
