Strange Happenings in Travance Proper

"Don't go outside" says the mother to her son. "There are strange people, stranger than usual, who were let out... who shouldn't be out... but they are." She is fearful for her safety, fearful for her son's safety.

"But I have to go to market mum... we have to trade the milk for some bread... we ought to stock up on bread" And with that he goes out.

She worries and waits. She wrings her hands. Time seems to pass with agonizing slowness. Finally he returns.

After she is done hugging him and he has a moment to speak he says only this. "The streets are empty... everyone is afraid to go out. The merchant closed up right after I left sayin' that there weren't enough customers to stay open.... not with them about." He pauses. "Why was they locked up anyway? And why don't they just go somewhere else?"

The mother answers both questions with one answer, "Because they are crazy son."

The people who live in the settlement of Travance Proper are acting strangely. They are spending as little time outside of their homes as possible as if it was still a frozen February, even though the sun is shining. They mostly show up for work, but they show up late and ask to leave early. They are on edge. Afraid of the crazy people from the Stonefall Asylum. When they are out they travel in small to medium sized groups for safety and they stay out as little as is required.

If something isn't done...who knows how bad things will get.

OOG -- Do not contact me directly to deal with this. If you want to have something happen regarding this it needs to be through the mechanisms already in place, like the Land System or at the next event. Reminder, Land System actions close on Monday...

Can our insane alt characters perform Land Actions to add to this mayhem?

Hi Josh,

From an RP marshal standpoint, you can almost always pursue the actions your character would take (so long as they don't endanger or make anyone uncomfortable OOG).

If you have an alt that wants to add to the chaos, you certainly can use your land action to pursue that, just be aware that there are potential consequences for such actions. If you are aware of and okay with that, go all for it!

Edit: Note, this applies to actual Alts and not one shot Alt event characters.

No. If you are going to play your alt event character they don't get an official Land Action until after the first non-Alt event they play.

I am sorry, this answer is not correct. Alt Event characters do not get a land action until after the first normal event they play. The Alt Event is considered "out of band" from the normal Land System turn.
