Regarding the Land System

The world has been turned upside down. Life will not return to normal for a while. Instead you have a simple choice. Will you run, hide or fight? Choose wisely; many lives depend on your choice.
The Land System will not be operating as usual. To help capture the feeling of what is going on in the world we have instead created a simpler system to use in the interim. This has the following immediate consequences:
The Lords of the Lands are unable to start any new buildings or improvements.
The people (NPC citizens) are running around trying to save themselves and so the lands are simply not functioning in a normal administrative sense. It is not chaos and looting, but it isn’t “show up for work and milk the cows” either.
PC Default Actions will not be run.
Businesses will not earn (or lose) any money. Their ledgers will remain locked in time.
PCs will not be able to put in Land Actions -- even if they have Civil Service and Quadrivium.
Instead, each Character will be given a simple choice. Will that character Run, Hide or Fight?
RUN --You gather as many people as possible and try to evacuate them to safer locations, away from the fighting, away from the Settlements. You keep moving with minimal supplies to stay fast and mobile. Just keep moving and maybe you'll survive.
HIDE -- You find somewhere you think is safe. You huddle alone or in small groups in basements, caves, hidden woodland areas - anywhere the fighting won’t be. You bring supplies, valuables, and things that need protecting, and hope that you are overlooked.
FIGHT -- You decide to stand your ground and fight to the death if necessary. Joining the ranks of the military, the able-bodied, the brave and the foolish. You face down everything that is coming and try to fight for what is yours.
It is important to note that these categories are deliberately broad and simple. Within each category EVERY PC will be useful. Healers can choose “Fight” and Chaos Warriors can choose “Run”. The three categories should be viewed as a gut reaction, not a continuous activity. “Running” will also include healing people and occasional fighting, but all with a goal of saving citizens’ lives and escaping danger when possible. “Hide” will include finding wounded people or survivors, or scouting missions to bring supplies back to safe locations. Occasional fighting and running might be involved too. “Fight” isn’t just fight - sometimes there are tactical advances to the rear, and then of course there is armor to repair or wounded to treat. Literally every character will be useful in any one of the three choices.
Periodically, and unannounced, the Storytellers and the Land Marshals will be running a query to see how the
FEEL FREE TO CHANGE YOUR ANSWERS AS OFTEN AS YOU LIKE AND AS THE STORIES UNFOLD. This is meant to be a much more fluid system. We will not be “closing the land turn” and then processing things as normal. We will be taking multiple views into the data as it changes over time so PLEASE, if you want to, change your answers.
If your PC wasn't at the event, you will have time to read what the STs post concerning the events and think about what your character would do before the first tally is taken.
If your PC has been given a task IG, vote for the option that most closely matches your task.
One final note: not voting is an option, but once you vote you cannot “unvote”, there is no save button, clicking the vote option saves your choice immediately.
Who will you be? #iwillrun #iwillhide #iwillfight #iwillsurvive

It seems this phrase is causing some confusion. In this case, "land" refers to the entire population of Travance. You do not have to be a vassal to a land to participate.

Fair point, I edited the text to read more generically.
