Directors Announcements! (May 2016)
Allegiance System!
I want to remind everyone that the KR Allegiance System returned last month after being on a couple month hiatus. If you run a land be sure to pick up your sheets and cards that will be waiting for you in logistics. Also please remember that in order to keep record, the Land Task sheets need to be handed in at the end of the event and placed on a separate pile next to the card box.
Help with Set-up
If you are able to help with set-up either Thursday or Friday Morning, please shoot me a message to let me know to expect you.
Community RP Points!
Remember when you get your card to ask for your RP point! Please help us make this idea a success!
Leaving Early
If you need to leave early either Saturday night or Early Sunday Morning then your camp clean-up assignment should be to help clean up after feast. Please remember to have the kitchen staff sign you off.
Out of the Inn Rooms by Noon
All players who sleep inside any of the rooms in the Inn MUST have all of their belongings packs up and moved to their cars by noon on Sunday.
Opening Ceremonies
Please be present for opening ceremonies in the main hall of the inn at 10PM! We would like the most people possible to be present for it. We will be holding an attendance raffle each month to reward one random attendee of opening ceremonies with a valuable reward!
Pre-Game Safety and Kitchen Announcements!
Safety Announcements:
* Hydration is important even though the weather is better, so drink water often.
* Bear Season: now that Spring is here the Bears in the Camp will be active, especially at night. Do not leave open food about. If you encounter a bear, do not run away as it will chase you. Make noise and flail your arms in an attempt to look bigger. Let people in the area know a bear is in the area. If you need more information regarding bears at KR see a safety marshal or a Staff member.
* Personal contact in KR, that is not combat should not be assumed. Unless a player has the express permission of another player, there should be no touching or other similar contact. Anyone violating this rule will be subject to a violation.
Kitchen Announcements:
* Please refrain from using the showers on Saturday afternoon between the hours of 1:00pm – 8:00 pm
* DO NOT THROW: paper towels, wads of toilet tissue or feminine products down the toilet.
* If you go in to use the bathroom and it is out of order you should tell someone on staff As Soon As Humanly Possible.
* When applying or removing make up kindly clean up after doing so. If you do not find the supplies to do so please inform someone on staff.
* Refrigeration space is on a first come first serve basis.
- You should always inform the marshal on duty when placing and or removing items from the refrigerator.
- It is recommended that you use a cloth freezer safe lunch box with your name on it. If a regular bag is used it should include your name and card number.
- You should never send anyone else to retrieve items stored in the refrigerator to avoid any misunderstandings or confusion.
- If you did not place items in the refrigerator you should not remove any. Doing so would violate our kitchen use policy and may lead to a violation.
Additional announcements: (for all Knight Realms events)
Parking:
Please plan to park in either the big lot next to the ranger’s house or the small parking area in front of the Inn, near the road.
You may drive onto camp to unload your gear, but it must be moved and parked in 1 of the 2 designated areas prior to lay on.
Also note that the area inside the gate, near the kitchen, is NOT a designated parking area and you may not leave your car there from lay on to end of game play on Sunday.
Please show respect for others:
If you arrive at game any time after lay on and need to move heavy gear, drive slowly, avoiding any game play. Move your gear and then move your car immediately before you set up.
This all helps to maintain the atmosphere at Knight Realms
Smoking/Vaping/Hookas:
Knight Realms has players with health issues and we also feel that it can break immersion, especially when in common areas.
However, we do have area set aside for smoking and vaping, located in front of the Inn on the UNUSED porch and next to the trees, across the path in the same area.
Do not stand in the path.
Players with issues being around smoke should avoid that area.
Do not light up or vape in any areas where there are groups of players.
Do not walk around the camp smoking.
You must also clean up any butts. Do not leave them on the ground for others to clean up.
You can be subject to rules warning and violations for repeated reminders from staff.
