Hello!
Many of you have expressed interest in becoming a logistics marshal. I am really happy to see so many people who want to help out the game! I can't take all of you, though, so I've come up with a little assignment to help narrow it down.
Please submit a handwritten note to me with a few sentences letting me know why you want to be an LM. Also include any general scheduling issues (like you live far away and unlikely to be available for first shift or Sunday, or have a standing commitment to a group at the game at a certain time). Note that being unavailable at certain times doesn't mean that you won't be accepted; it's just something I have to consider.
Why handwritten? Because a good chunk of this job requires hand-writing things - notes on character cards, NPC cards, etc. If we can't read your handwriting, this is probably not a good fit.
Please submit this to me by the end of the March 17th event (the regular event, not the end of the Alt event). You can scan and email it to me at as well. Feel free to ping me here, on Facebook, or email me if you have questions about being an LM as well.

Because I'm so new, I'm unlikely to be selected even if I tried. I am curious about how much handwriting is needed, though. Logistics interests me greatly, but I also have a chronic pain issue that affects gripping a pen for long periods of time. Filling out one or four item cards is okay; filling out forty would take me longer than probably anyone else.

As an LM I can say it varies, especially on when your shift would take place. For example on average I may fill out about 40 cards over a 4 hour shift. Last weekend I filled out the equivalent of approx 100 with at least 20 in one session. It is quite a bit of handwriting. Not only do you take care of what PCs need written or done but also if the Monster Marshal on shift needs you to copy cards because there aren't enough or write out specific loot.

You just reminded me of something! I posted quickly, and assumed everyone knew what the *general* requirements for being a marshal of any sort at KR are. This was my mistake, and I apologize. All prospective marshals need to have attended game regularly for at least a year.
That said, as long as you meet that minimum year requirement, I will give your application equal consideration.

I have contacted the applicants who have been selected for training. I was completely floored with how many people are willing to help out the game - double-digits, mates! Sadly, I can't take all of you on. Should more spots open up, or one of our new trainees decides this job isn't for them, I'll pull from this pool of applicants before doing a general call again because really all of you are stellar and made the choice really hard
