Bar Crawl!
Hello everyone! We are happy to announce the return of Bar Crawl to Week in the Life for this year! Because of a couple of unfavorable incidents last year, we had to consider deeply if we wanted to continue it as a WiTL event or not. We ultimately want you to enjoy fun and unique events with us, but we need to share with you some guidelines to help ensure that everyone can continue to enjoy this event for future years.
1) The point of this activity is to RP a bar crawl and for those who are of legal age to partake in moderate drinking in the activity if they wish. The point is not binge drinking for real. Even during rare Knight Realms moments when alcohol is allowed, our policy is moderation and responsibility as an absolute necessity. Anyone who obviously over drinks to the point of real-life disruption or sickness will suffer consequences that may include ruining this kind of event for all KR players in the future. Moderate and pace yourself and keep an eye on your friends.
2) There will be multiple chaperones who will not be drinking alcohol and are there to monitor everyone’s drinking behavior. If one of these chaperones or one of the bar runners tells you that you are cut off, then their word is final.
3) There will be snacking before the bar crawl starts, and in the middle of it, to help make sure you are not drinking on an empty stomach. Be sure to eat something to slow down your body’s alcohol absorption. As a suggested tip alternate alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, or consider sipping your alcohol and drinking it more slowly, so that you are pacing yourself in order to not over do it.
