Disabled Veterans - Sept. to December 08 was created by dedrite (dedrite)
Help Disabled Veterans and their families this holiday season
at Knight Realms

This winter, Knight Realms will be working with all of you to do our part to help the disabled veterans of America's armed forces.  Our fund raiser will generate a worthy contribution, and help to build better lives for America's disabled veterans and their families.  The money collected will be pooled with the donations of other organizations, and private donors to be used where it will matter the most.  To assist and aid those service men and women disabled in the line of duty.

The prizes awarded for this fund-raiser will be as follows:

First Prize:  Help write yourself into the game! - Create a unique Skill with the STs/Rules Officers to best fit your character.  All qualities/restrictions/build cost tbd.  Winner may submit three ideas, which the STs/Rules Officers will consider.

Second Prize:  "Box of hidden treasures" - Winner will get a magic box which will give only its owner access to anything inside of it.

Third Prize:  Private Feast - A gourmet meal for Friday night to feed and entertain from 8-10 people.  The winner will work with our chef's to create a nice feast designed to fit their tastes or dietary requirements.

Tickets will be on sale for $5.00 each (starting at the September event) and 100% of the profits will go to our charity supporting disabled veterans.  Any and all straight donations will also be accepted, regardless of amount.

Tickets will be on sale during check-in on Friday near logistics for a few hours and sometime on Saturday, most likely during market faire (when possible).  Details will be announced at each event up until the December drawing during the Baron’s feast.  If necessary, the drawing will be pushed back to the next available month Knight Realms holds an event.

**In addition, I will have an item up for silent auction.  A pair of quality leather and scale mail bracers with straps and buckles for a proper fit.  These bracers were planned for the summer fund raiser, but were never included.  Now is your chance to get your hands on a great accent piece, and good chunk of armor points by winning these bracers.  You can make a qualifying offer and the winner will be announced in December.**

We will gladly accept quality donations for this or future fund-raising events.  We plan on running 3 large fund-raisers per year with additional charity drop offs like toys for tots.  Details will be posted throughout the year with instructions on when and how you can help.

Thank you in advance for your help!

The start of the December festival will be your last chance to get into the last raffle of 2008.

The prizes will be awarded at the December Festival.

Please consider supporting our Disabled Veterans if you have not already.

** If you have a high bid in for the silent auction, please be prepared to pay at the festival.  If you will not be able to pay at the festival for any reason, I will accept checks up to the following Friday, 12/19.  The second bidders will get a chance to claim the two pieces of armor up for auction in the event that the winning bidders fail to make payment.**

Our Jan-Apr. charity will be announced soon.

Thanks so much for everyone who gave of themselves to make our charity program a success!

To the players of Knight Realms, on behalf of the Knight Realms staff, please accept our sincere thanks and appreciation for you generosity and kindness throughout the year!

I for one am proud of you all, gentlemen.  You are doing a job, and a service that I could never do, due to medical issues.  You've volunteered for what I can only imagine to be an amazing, yet harrowing experience, every day while you are on active duty.  You honor each and every one of us with your courage, and it's only right that we honor you in return, however we can.
