Finding my first treasure box
Blowing a TON of build so i can be all priestly next feast
Consoling the widow of the cannibal (mike u can be pretty scary sometimes) resulted in some epic rp
stocking up on meteoric ores...
getting the new spear!!!!!
conversations with everyone in town... made for a great time
the last mod... matt u puzzled the whole damn town as toopoor

lowlights: facing undead after learning, but being unable to use, my spirit list....

Nyan~
I brought a friend along this time, Devorah Leah, and we both enjoyed the festival.

Highlights:
Rudolph: "Has anyone seen a red headband?"
Hugging everyone in sight (especially Kwildar, he gives good hugs).
Learning my first couple of Rank II spellsongs (thanks, Raphael).
Being surprized at the fact that Charcoal was Level II upon starting the game (and buying four extra Build), and then throughtout the festival, becoming Level III from Lifesyle Build.
Learning what "out of practice" means from hearing it far too many times and not understanding the phrase.
Sharing food with most of the people in the Inn. I'll make sure to bring more jerky next time, because that didn't last at all.
I can't really tell if this is a highlight or a lowlight, but Raphael tried to steal my soul...

Lowlights:
Undead everywhere at night. Who let those in?!
Hearing that the forge was moved from the original Brazeny place with all the Enax tents from the last event to a new place where the photography was. It was a little confusing when I went to the old place to find it empty.
Mosquitos apparently don't mind sucking blood from under a layer of black/white makeup. I hate those mini-vampires.
Explaining to everyone who asked, "will I see you next moon?" that I was going to be moving to Spain in a little more than two weeks. I hope to see everyone when I return in another eight months or so...

Sparring with Mae
Buying the staff I had custom made for me by Iron Liege 5 years ago BACK from Cameron.  Still in great shape.
Realizing yet again, I need to get new chainmail.
Plenty of role play.

* Getting a good chunk of Gideon's backlog cleared out.
* "Greetings, my student."  "Gideon, that's half the people in the Inn."
* Graduating another student to Master Blacksmith - we now have at least 4 active Smiths with all of the skills!
* Teaching Fire to Carlotta.
* Barak: "It's odd, Gideon, every time someone mentions (Carlotta's) name, I panic a little."
* Angelica: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to leave the cheesecake pan on the Altar to Brazen."  Gideon: "Put that back.  He considers it an offering!  It's craftsmanship!"
* Joe & MB: Thank you for the late night meal.  I sorely needed that!

Well, that was one adventure-filled festival. Having the first encounter with Toopoor(Matt) when he was caught by gnolls.... And again. Then of course with all of the too-fun-to-kill undead. Finally get to use Bypass Armor and being disappointed when I found out that I was doing Minimal. What was really funny was when I was hanging around with Gideon, Peter, and Danny. Oren: Three Smiths have one pet Squire? Gideon: No. One Squire has three pet Smiths.  I think that was the greatest quote. All-in-all it was just a great event. I hope to have another one like this.

-Hanging out with Frank, Maxine her little brother Luthor(sp?) during the fishing contest. It was all-around good RP and her little brother is so cute!

-Getting permission to learn Druidics. One of the more informative conversations Ilana's had in awhile.

-Negative Energy Fortitude lesson :D

-Avoiding a few confrontations in roundabout ways is amusing.

The Festival went over fantastically.

Much thanks to all of the great interactions I had, even if some of them are leading to upsetting things IG, the opportunity to RP with each and every one of you is always a treat.

Some things that stand out.

Druidic Lessons.  Diane and Kristen, you both have a fantastic teaching technique and I enjoy learning more and more IG everytime we speak.

Walter, your lessons were very informative as well, it is also interesting to see how one's perspective on a race can change even a slight bit due to some good conversations.  I look forward to the future.

Capture the Crown was amazing fun, Naturi v. Lucas parts 1 and 2 were the biggest highlight of that entire game.

Baronial Feast in 2 weeks for August, I can't wait to see you all again.

Finished my Flora and Fauna Codeces with the help of Oakroot.  Some excellent RP.

Psychoanalyzin g the serverely mentally ill Prof. Cypher, who almong other maladies suffered from Amnesia.
Him - I unerstand this Cypher fellow is very unplesant.
Me - Yes.  I really do not look forward to your complete cure as you are much more amia ble this way.
Him - A lot of people tell me that.

Teaching numerous Scholar skills to several people.
The opportunity to teach literacy to a Quinarian!

Really good Undead NPCs Saturday Night.  Kudos to all.

Seeing the Alesanmdira Statehouse on  Sunday - very nice

A/C ftw

Teaching a Ceremony to the Archbihsop - it is always good RP with Goose, and we each wear so many different hats with one another it is oft tim es confusing, but never dull.

More later - just got back from a long day at Sac followed by a long drive droppin g people off - I do not begrudge the time, m erely my exhaustion.

Tha nks to all who inquired about my OOG health - I am much better, thank you.

Fun times, great to spend time with people I don't normally interact with in game.

-So many students! Seriously must have spent at least half of my time teaching people various lessons. Going along with my big highlight from last event where I said I loved teaching, it was great to once again have people coming up to me asking for lessons that I had no idea I could give them.

-Learning Mage, and making certain people flabbergasted when I told them.  ;D
-With that, the great history and lore lesson I got from Apollo for opening the list.

-Watching Barak snipe an undead from the second floor window. So good!

-More interactions with various goblinoids that come into town. I love the RP, but Winks dies a little inside every time someone yells "Hey Winks, it's goblins, can you come deal with this?"

-Great conversations with Nadi/Echo down by the waterfront.

See everyone in two weeks!

Let's see.....

My biggest highlight is seeing people who I have not seen in AGES! (i.e. Bill/Tsoli and Cy/Misaki)

Hmmmmm....
-Aleister's rage-quit Saturday night
-Tobar ghost
-Being waylayed while playing cards, I let the NPC's have their fun ;P
-Roleplaying!
-Kamei learning a little bit more about the ways of feelings, especially that of love
-LEARNING! I am so excited that I am reaching the end of my first list =) One more skill I can't self-teach, and I am good!
-Misaki teaching Kamei how to fight, and her getting frustrated with him.
-Reaching level 13 after two years! =D
-PS. sleeping in hotel= WIN
-Also....befriending Nyads

Such a good Festival and it definitely made me hyped me up for the upcoming event.
-Getting laughed at for actually wearing armor at a festival of all things.
-Having the time to sit down and actually hang out with IG friends! :D
-Being asked to sit down with the Witch Hunters and share our knowledge.
-Explaining Nature's Heralds with Father Edwin was brought some fun RP and I learned a lot as well.
-Learning research!!!!!!
-Taking down a bunch of Gnoles with Seamus, Emar, Ranith, Cain, Emar, and a few others was enjoyable.
-Root Squad scaring away a bunch of Gnoles by pounding our shields was hilarious... Until they found "Too Poor" down the path, whom we just saved.

Great festival, lotsa work done, and so much research on the way.

Highlights
  • Actually made every scroll and ballad I was capable of throughout the entire event.
  • Gideon 's reaction to there potentially being more bards than mages in Travance.  When asked why by a bystander, his response was "It's more of a pride thing."
  • Super long Bard session Friday night.  Loads of fun all around!
  • Deep discussions with Oren and Misaki Saturday morning.  Its always fun to have quality RP sessions!
  • Learning my first Druid Spell from Oakroot.
  • Chroniclerite discussions.
  • Teaching Oakroot research, which IMO is the most important scholar skill.
  • Learning how to create manuscripts and detect forgeries from Fr. Haroldson (and hearing him admit that he has an equal at detecting them in Carlos)

Lowlight:
  • Getting devoured Saturday Night while asleep by mini-vamps... Almost made it through the whole weekend...

See everyone in August!!

Highlights:
People remembering my name and face after so long made me smile.

The greeting from Kamei

NPC shift as a wolf chasing after a piglet and scrounging on him not more than 5 feet from townspeople and dragging him off into the woods.

Rudolph: Has anyone seen a red headband? (priceless)

Undead coming into the inn roaring and lethias disapating him and going, Don't roar at me.

Finding hidden treasures

Some awesome rp with zafron(sp) and ardin

Looking forward to coming in august!

Okay, just as a personal general highlight from the last couple of years:

Seeing more and more people refer to mosquitoes and ticks as 'tiny vampires', or some close variation of such.  My inner Kwildar gets to smile widely every time someone else calls them that.

Haven;t posted on here in a while but the festival warented some highlights

Echo: Fish are far more intelligent than most people think
Me: if fish are so intelligent how come they all watch you put the worm on the hook and put it in the water, and they watch their friends all get pulled up by the lines and they see what happens but they still go for the worm.
Echo:  Why do humans fall in love?
*all minds present blown*

Learning Witch hunter and within minutes of the lesson ending spending the rest of the night murder-facing undead.  Running around with Kwildar and Misaki on such a Celt-Dragoon addrenilin high.  Soooo paid for it later.

Braiding like...5 peoples hair while Shamus attempted to give Kwildar the "birds and the bees" talk. So Good!

Go big or go home

Man it's good to be back!  I can't tell you how good it felt to be welcomed back after being away for over half a year.  It actually felt the same in and out of game  ;)

OOG:  "Cy, you're alive!"
IG: "Misaki, you're alive!"

These are facts.  Either way, I'm glad that I got to come and see everybody again and can't wait to get back in September.  And now for the Highlights!

Friday Night:
-First game interaction is with Lethias?  Yes please.  It was great to catch up with one of my teachers and find out the latest happenings.
-Strangely enough, firing back an insult at Sir Oros with probably 2 or 3 more nobles and/or lords there to fine me.  OOG, I knew it was going to be a bad move to make; IG, it's what Misaki would have done.  Yay RP!
-Trying to teach Kamei fighting katas and Misaki having to actually explain his way of thinking in fights.  Very interesting to say the least.

Saturday Morning:
-Waking up insanely early and getting some more great RP talking with Belegchand and Orin.

Misaki: "So, it's true about Telligrim then..."
*An ominous oog wind blows my hat off my head at mentioning his name*
Misaki: "Curse you, Dragon-Lich-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!"

-It seems every time I need something from Gideon, it's always instantly granted and beyond what I expect.  Electrum Polearm made via the "Zero Strike" put on Ethgail's tab?  Sick.
-The meeting of the Night Hunters and finding out about Seamus.  You finally did it Cooper!  lol
-Heavy realizations from the meeting and finally seeing an end product that is being worked towards.  I'm pretty sure chunks of my mind were left at our meeting spot from how much my mind was blown.
-Having dinner delivered to me via Shannon.  What can I say, the girl knows how to take care of me  :D

Saturday Night:
-RP with Baoyu, finally!  Oh man, all I can say is Adam watch out  ;)
-Undead Killing Gallery!  Taking down Skeletal Champs, some Greater Revenants, and a ghost that reminded me strangely of Tobar (jingles and all)
-Undead sniper support from Barak from the top of the Inn = epic
-Teaching Lore: Undead in between waves.  Best lesson situation ever

Fighting alongside Ashling and teaching her the ways of a Witch Hunter - two skeletons destroyed
Using Spirit of the Dragon - one Greater Revenant destroyed
Misaki and Barak both in Spirit mode - destroyed undead EVERYWHERE

Lesson learned: Misaki and Barak going on a rampage is the coolest.  thing.  EVER.

See everybody in September!

Had a great time at the festival, and the work day. Great RP with people, and being effective in multiple rows for combat is always fun.

Specific highlights:

Being decently effective at Capture the Crown of Command by hiding... got a good couple of shots in, and three sashes before I tried helping with the Archbishop.

Realizing that the Count wasn't completely off his rocker for sending us after puny criminals when one turned out to not be all that puny, and getting to apply Heal Life for the first time! Can't fix 'em all, but this one was a good one.

Also a pretty awesome first: Blasting an undead to pieces with a heal spell! I'mna get my reserves up before trying again... but it was so cool!

Saving Mistress Miriam after a Greater Revenant dropped her with an Incap. That Eye of the Storm is coming in handy... the pros of Druidics keep accumulating...

Speaking of Druidics: Meditating with the Druids was great! I hated being so tired and all the bugs... but I loved sitting for the session.

Teaching and learning from people was, as always, a great time. Got lots of practice in on some key lessons and some improvisation is always good. I also really like my teachers... Two new ones; both of them awesome. I'll be coming back, if I can... and making good use of the lessons as soon as possible.

Lowlights:

Injured knee flared up before the event, slowed me down pretty bad. Don't worry, I'm icing it and I should be back in good condition before August's event.

I think I may have screwed up a couple of things on lessons... I'm trying to fix it, though. First Aid, in particular.

Na'ar Chacov, Soul of the Stars.

Ayiri Amexis, Sorceress' Apprentice.
Lupta Tamasa, Torn and Blackened.

After Kamei was waylayed (or is it waylaid?) by the three inept poker players, I excused myself from my conversation, dropped the last one as he was going out the door and dropped the other two with perfectly aimed speedcast luminescent beams.  What made it a highlight was that it was not a highlight, but something I now accept as routine.
