Event FUN!
Friday -
My BBQ at Darkheart Manor went off quite well. Thanks to Matt/Magnus who brought the corn and pork chops, and Zack/Tobar for the chicken, we had enough to feed anyone who wanted food.
Saturday -
taught my new student how to gather potion materials and found 1) huckleberry patch with ripe berries 2) a baby toad sitting on a toadstool.
Teaching a new archer.
Helping students learn to dodge and intercept. Gosh, shooting my friends is fun!
Bringing another student to the berry patch, and having a goblin throw a rock idol at me - which I coaght rather than let it hit me. Said Idol being the home of a trapped evil spirt. See an earlier post on the fate of said spirit.
Seeing Lord Pyre begin his speech, then feel a chill and disapearing before our eyes. Apollo affected immediately after, and blinded - and then me. intercepting the person dragging Apollo in a run, and grabbing him myself. We ran to the baron's manor, and then cajolling him into continuing to move after he sat down stating he was too tired to run anymore.
The beginning of Main Mod was great - I was able to help defend both groups in the Inn, until I had an asthma attack, and spend the next 2 hours in the kitchen. I've never had one come up so quickly - one minute I was fine, then I kinda got dizzy, and couldn't breath. I don't think I would have realized something was wrong if Alex (Ingvie) hadn't asked me if I was taking his damage - which pulled me out of the daze. I'm sorry to all that the search for my bag and inhaler caused a pause in the game.
I have to say, the Druid mod was probably the best mod I've been involved in. I was seconds away from going to bed when the little mute goblin (Smartest goblin I've ever met), came to me with a note stating 'We need a Druid!' and began to pull me away from the inn by my coat. The whole situation was a phenominal moral dillema that I think will continue to cause magor problems in the months and years to come. Thank you to whomever began this storyline. Brendon as Lord Pyre being just as conflicted, but having to judge on the side of the law was just wonderful.
I haven't had such a great roleplaying experience in a long time. Thank you all for the great interplay.
Sunday -
Lost my sword in the woods running from 3 trolls. Found it, and a large peice of scrap metal by retracting my steps.
GRIMDOR - what can I say, Fire does solve most problems, specifically when done from a distance.

I had a wonderful event, even with lots of people away, the people there really stepped up their roleplay and made it amazing. Also, BIG thanks to everyone who made feast, it was fabulous and you're all way too nice making me things that fit my crazy allergies all the time.
FRIDAY:
- Spending most of the night sitting with Jonas Kane speculating about the portal and how the mages tampering was going to explode his inn
- Finding out more about the "draft of null" through Paige's research
- Stumbling to bed early at 4 only to be woken by the taunts of an Anti-paladin at 5
- Spending an age running around site looking for the wounded or dead Brother Jacob and finding him mangled but alive in the Inn (and the excellent RPs that ensued)
SATURDAY:
- Getting to relax for market fair and eat, have my fortune read, relax and visit with my flock of newest Gaians (and being charmed by Darius of course)
- Talks with Sir Germaine and the differences between defiance and chaos
- Spending all of Saturday afternoon trying to talk a man into Living the whole time knowing the mages guild will probably execute him anyhow (Great RP Brendan, the first time in a long time I've had a real long religious debate/argument with someone)
- Buying presents for Rosa's friends
- Finally making amends with Brendan's NPC and literally sewing a portal shut with my knowledge of Tailoring (first time ever being able to mend has saved the world? Maybe)
- Our group of druids and the ensuing anger between myself and Solomon
SUNDAY:
- early morning rituals and Rosa not realizing she would have to remain calm in the face of two of her phobias
I'm sure there is other things I've missed but thank you to everyone for the fun.

I barely know where to start, this was such a fantastic event overall. I really got a chance to go all out with Jiltanith, RP with many new players...I'll see if I can organize my thoughts
.
-Friday
-I absolutely loved the BBQ we had over at Darkheart Manor before lay on. I got to see so many people I hadn't seen in a long time and talk about where I've been and what they've been doing, and enjoyed some absolutely fantastic food. (And programming talk, now that's something I haven't been able to have in AGES.)
-Had my NPC shift early, and played brigands with some new players only to be absolutely STUNNED by one of our newest members. Never have I seen someone move so swiftly in the forest, let alone in pitch black darkness. He was gone so long he didn't even come back until after the next mod we ran, and he managed to hold up a few more people during that time! I forget your actual name my friend, I hope you're not insulted since I have a hard time remembering new players, and I can't want to get a chance to do that with you again.
-Saturday
-Heading off to the inn in the morning and RPing with some of our newest additions to KR, starting with teaching them some of the KR classic inn games such as Shut the Box and Tumblin' Dice. I ended up doing this a couple of times but had a great time.
-Enjoying the market, having the entire Inn sing happy birthday to me, and then sharing my birthday cake with anyone who wanted it in the inn, and outside of course.
(The Yahtzees, you guys always seemed to put a smile on my face with your birthday cheer.)
-The low level mod was fantastic, we ended up with more people then expected but it just lead to a large scale battle that really made things epic. It's nice to see low level mods go well to give the newer players a chance to really go all out.
-Buying some strangely perfect bracers for my character from the said amazing player I NPC'd with and having them cut to fit me and re-finished right on the spot. Then getting a fantastic dragon pendant that also fit my character (sadly the chain I fit to it broke so I didn't wear it for the rest of the event).
-Going back to playing inn games and earning some silver on some wagers, and saving Zero's butt (Justice) when I gave him back his pouch holding all his worldly possessions out of the kindness of my heart. Well....not really, I tortured him about it.
-Getting a mithril polearm!! I've been dying to get one, it was a goal I was trying to achieve and I can thank my mother for all the hard work she put in to hunt one down while I was gone.
-Getting some Dragoon plot rolling out, and getting to feel more in character then I've had a chance to feel in a long time. Learning more about what happened while I was gone 'Dragoon wise'.
-"Hahaha....I thank you all for releasing me!! I.." *poof*
-The feast was fantastic, and those were some of the best feast songs I've heard, one I recognized and touched my heart. Also Matt had been waiting to sing that song during feast for over a year, I remember him talking about making it more appropriate a long time ago.
-Main mod, well it was difficult and quite a challenge and somehow still gave for some RP during all the madness. Especially with that one skill...I forget the name, the one that made you blind and stupid. But I have to admit...my biggest highlight and biggest surprise was getting my Spirit of the Dragon and really going wild with it. I had never felt more in character from there on in.
-After the portal was shut, fleeing into the darkness to escape something I couldn't see. I practically double taked when I was chased and ran behind the inn, only to come back around to the front to find the inn abandoned. Then suddenly seeing Solomon run out from the darkness and working with him to find and bring people to safety.
-After all was said and done, staying up late at the inn, sharing s'mores with all, and celebrating my new found Spirit and victory with the the porch dwellers and the new players while getting ridiculously drunk on some satyr wine, which I ended up dubbing the Maybe Wine in my complete inebriation.
-Sunday
-Waking up and being asked to take some chaos warriors to prison, having great RP with the cocky talkative one only to have him strength +2 his way out of my grip and getting a chance to chase him down, use trip to knock him over and beat him into 'submission'. Not to mention getting payed 5 gold to do the whole lot.
-Grimdar Mod, there's not much more I can say that anyone else hasn't besides LOL. I quickly learned to avoid Grimdar after he started smashing people into the ground and immediately went to dispatching the assorted goblins. Regardless, I couldn't help but enjoy that entire mod and got quite a laugh out of the whole thing.
In the end, I was sad to say goodbye knowing that I have no idea when I'll be able to come to another event...but all in all I have to admit it was the best event I've ever attended. I have to thank everyone who came together and made it special for me, but specifically my mother. She did everything she could to make sure I had a great time, and with your help it was made into a weekend I'll never forget. It just makes me smile to know even after a year of being gone I came back to find people who I still call friends, and that means a lot to me considering the amount of people I've lost touch with in my constant moving.
Lastly, thanks to James for giving me that old laptop! I've really needed one for the longest time, and now I actually have a word processor/programming laptop for college. I won't have to store everything on USB drives/floppys and work on public computers at college anymore
