Wasn't this the company that Rick was absolutely searing, saying they had done an incredibly piss-poor job on the items he bought?

No way. they're upstanding people and friendly.

They are very friendly, yes.  However, in the time that I dealt with them, they weren't very communicative (Often taking weeks to answer e-mails) and were somewhat reticent with the truth (The item I had ordered was on backorder, but it wasn't until I had pestered them for two months did they come out and say that... And they seemed less than able to get an answer from their suppliers about when the item would be shipped for a long, long time.)

If you can catch one of their representitives on their website chat, then they will usually at least scrape out some answer (Though the veracity can be suspect at times)  But on the whole, they're quite a friendly bunch.

Unfortunately I now have $150 worth of good looking Props. The sword look very good on their pix and ib RL. However they are heavy and very whippy. and they hurt when struck by them


All correspondence was much delayed and answers were very vague. I even sent a comparison from a couple of swords from Iron Liege. 

Now the only thing I buy is from IL

I've never been a big fan of the big vendor buying latex weapons. They treat it as stock and only in bulk. Small vendors (Hi Gwen!) usually are treated as a person and not a company.

Not saying you got duped or all big larp weapon carrying sites (Museum Replicas or Realms Collectables) are bad at it.

However, their clothing is great stuff.

In all seriousness, if anyone is planning on buying a Calimacil weapon in the near future, please either A) let me know or B) go through me. PM me if you'd like to know the reason (aside from I might be able to get you a discount).
