Just a reminder to everyone to take a moment during the beautiful weather today, and remember to clean and oil / waterproof your boots!
If you have leather boots, stop by your local supermarket and grab a tin of Saddle Soap and Mink Oil from the shoe care section. They're cheap, and they will last a long time - and your boots will, too. If you have a pair of Sandlers, you'd be silly not to protect such an investment.
If you have suede boots, use a suede cleaner, and then Scotch Guard the heck out of them. Let them dry overnight before you pack them for KR.
If you have other boots (Hiking, combat, etc.) take a moment to look up how to waterproof them online, and do so. They will last longer, and your feet will thank you for it when it gets wet or snowy out.
I will have a tin of Saddle Soap and Mink Oil, and some cloths to care for your leather boots, at the Trade Hall this event. Stop by on Saturday and you are welcome to use them.

Five coats of silcone on my el cheapo $50 boots, so if I had expensive boots, imagine what I would do.

A /bump for this - with the start of Ren Faire season, and the long summer days, this is a good time to take the boots outside and clean them up during the evening.
