Seeing as the Ball is less than two months away, I thought I'd post up this link to Teovana's Leather Mask Etsy site.  Caroline, the artist, is exceptionally helpful and nice, and in my opinion makes the best masks of her style in a reasonable price range.  She was even able to do a custom order for me (which I love), although I don't know her availabily for that at this point.  Check her out if you are looking for something for the Ball (or whatever) - she has a wide range of quality leather masks, some for as low as $34.00, and adds new ones every few days.

They have a reasonably decent selection there too, and the owners of that store are quite nice.  I think the prices are higher though, not sure.  But you'd get to try them on.

Ok, so how does the Ball work? I know what a masquerade Ball is but like where does one stay if they have a long travel(like from Philly) to get there? And is it just generic masks that are needed or is it more like a mardi gras/mummers mask?

I'm sure in the next couple weeks James will posting the offical Ball info - but what is basically is is a fully IG Masquerade Ball, where everybody has to wear a masquerade type mask as their characters - the Count holds it in Winterdark.  Some people really go all out and dress to the nines, some just wear normal costuming - really its whatever makes sense for your character.  In terms of where to stay, most people usually get a hotel room in one of the local places.
