Chainmail shirt??? was created by Jack (Keeperofdice)
I'm in a bit of a pickle. The chainmail shirt I owned has gone MIA and so now I'm shopping around for a new one. I'm bogged down by so much. Didn't really think about it, since the first one was a gift. So i'm not sure what to consider.
Butted or Riveted?
Regular or shark-mail?
Steel or Aluminum?
Any thoughts, opinions, ect. are welcome. I never thought chainmail shopping is so hard! Any help is really appreciated.

Some may disagree But the Micro-mesh Stainless Steel is probably the best out there
A littke Pricey But worth it
Have you posted the lost shirt in "Items Lost or Found"??

Aluminum is not an 'authentic material' and won't afford the profesional grade required to get the 2 threshold, so go for stainless steel. Riveted or welded preferred as butted will require maintanance and will result in loss of links from time to time.

Larp armor can be very expensive, but I found a website where you can get a chainmail shirt for about $100 if you're willing to dish out that much.

Definitely don't go with aluminum because it falls apart easily and maintenance will drive you insane.
Riveted mail will almost never lose a ring, but it can be a bit heavier than regular steel butted rings.
Ringmesh is t-shirt armor. It's light weight and durable and cheap.
Personally, I like the look and feel of regular chain, but if you're looking for something comfortable definitely go with the ringmesh.
