So I've been perusing the interwebs looking for a sleeping bag that's cold-weather/outdoor ready and also more IG looking, specifically something shiny or pretty that a High Elf would use, to keep with the atmosphere but also keep me toasty in the cold months. Basically, I'm getting tired of green camo.
If anyone has ideas, I'm game. Thanks!

Here's a good start:
www.knightrealms.com/logistics/50-clothi...-your-character.html
For keeping it IG - simply throw a cloth over it. I picked up a nice tapestry from the NY Ren Faire, and it's big enough to cover a queen-sized mattress / sleeping bag.
If you can't make it back up to the faire, check out:

There is the standby I employ - two flannel king sheets with a wool blanket (mine is a highland wool weave, but my second, for those serious nights in the Pocones in September, is an olive drab blanket that was a gift to my father fromn Uncle Sam. They both look IG and keep me sufficiently warm in the Inn that I do not use the second blanket. It has the added advantage of quick egress, not that anybody would want to kill me.

Flannel contact layer and wool is the only solution I agree with Charlie. Frequent the Good Will and Salation Army stores
Also check out Smoke and Fire www.smoke-fire.com/keeping-warm-1.asp They have different colored heavy wool blankets from time to time I bought an Orange one from the French Army that is about 3/8 "thick

Thanks for the advice guys! The tapestry throws are probably the direction I'm heading in, and as good as the wool sounds (and I still have my dad's from his army days) I'm allergic
The ideas have gotten my wheels turning though!!

Good! No Quinarian should be caught in wool and flannel...
