Salutations to Everyone was created by Nostri (Nostri)
Hello all. Myself and a couple (possibly a few) friends are planning on coming to play Knight Realms at the end of February. So I was wondering a couple of things-
The first is there anyway for me to get an exact address for Camp Sacajawea? We're from the middle of NY so unfortunately the directions page didn't help me too much.
Another thing is how early would it be appropriate to show up? I saw that New Player Training begins at 8pm Friday night but would it better to show up before that?
The last thing I can think of right now (I'll probably ask more questions if I think of them) is where would we be sleeping?
Thanks in advance, hopefully this is still early enough for my questions to be answered before the event...

Directions from central New York.
Get on the NYS thruway From Albany towards the TZ bridge/NYC,
When you see exit 15A south toward NJ, take it and follow 287S into NJ,
I think your on that for about 40 odd miles and then you will see signs for I-80 Delaware Water Gap.
Exit 42B i-80 West towards delaware water gap. Follow i-80 west untill you see the exit for 'Sparta' NJ , rte. 15.
You will cross train tracks and go through several intersections with lights on the highway. Ignore these turns and stay on the main drag untill you go about 12 miles there will be a few small buildings on your left one is called 'papa ronis' (pizza place, get a slice of baked ziti). Across from this is a large field and therew will be two lighted intersections one right after the other. maybe 60 yards between the lights.
The second light should be a turn (right) onto White Lake rd , go down that road, pass some fields on the right and left. It will become wooded and on your right the next building should be the rangers house and then the parking/unloading area for the LARPers, gravel lot, probably a bunch of cars.
(I assume you may have been looking for even more detail than that but if you take what I wrote word for word you wont get lost.)
I come from NY as well. Its a pain in the rear. If you dont feel confident , please PM me and depending on my schedule that friday I may be able to meet you after you get off i-80 and let you follow me on 15, the first time I went I was tempted to make turns or felt like I had gone too far.
I would say you could follow me from the NYS Thruway but I drive like a wreckless maniac on 287 and i-80 and the traffic is rough so the odds of getting sperated are high

In reguards to the other questions, Showing up between 4 and 5pm is usually acceptable but may change depending on who is at the camp before us. Arriving before its dark is a plus or you will not find any decent sleeping space and it will be annoying to manuever around the camp.
Sleeping is first come first serve, you and your party will definately have a heated building to stay in, depending on how late you arrive that may be in the main building near where you pull in or it may be a mile off the road in the middle of the woods.
Hope I helped.

Thanks for the answers, they help a lot with planning out the day especially. The directions should be specific enough. I'll show them to my friends and see what they think since we'll probably all be driving. We may take you up on the offer of a guide.

Ran into a slight snag as far as coming to the upcoming event is concerned. The car my friends and I were going to take decided it didn't really want to go that far and the front tie rod gave out. Luckily it didn't actually do it when we were in the car but while we were getting that very thing fixed though the guy that repaired it for us said that he poked it and then watched it crumble and fall off the car. In paying for that we spent the money we were going to use for game so we won't be able to come this month. Still planning on coming sometime soon though so hopefully we'll be able to get down next time. Thanks for the help with directions and all that. Hope to come soon.

For future events, PM Tobar, who comes from Ithaca College. Maybe all can fit in one vehicle.

Charlie, it is inappropriate to volunteer someone else's car for them. Zach is capable of volunteering himself.
I'm not saying Zach will or will not assist, but it is his decision to make, not another player's.

alternate (much easier directions) for folks from around Ithaca:
81 South to 380.
380 to 80 East
Cross into Jersey, look for the exit for Sparta.
When we end up in Hickory Run, it will be MUCH faster. Follow the above directions, but get on 80 West and look for the Hickory Run exit, from there follow the directions on the website.

If you're in Ithaca, its possible we can carpool, provided there's enough space in the car. PM me if you're interested.
