thinking about playing was created by hisk (hisk)
Hello all!
I have several questions about making my character.
1. how many build can you spend at character creation? Because on the site it says that you can get up to 13 starting build but then in the description it says that you can only spend 10 build to start.

You get 10 build base to build a character with, but if you had, for instance, donated items or earned extra build in some other way before making said character (say by NPCing a few events) you could theoretically have 13 build to start a character with.

Defend the Land for it is the Base of the Pillar,

Acolyte of the Circle of Ten & Chosen of Fey Lord Tillion
Guardian of Belladeen

It's answered in the rulebook.  Please read the rulebook before asking questions - that's why it's there.  ;)

#1. Magic points as well as all other casting points refresh on the period changes. Period changes occur at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

#2. Currently there is not a print version of the rulebook available as our rules are in a state of revision, so the only place to find a rule book is on the web site.

#3. As a non combat character you are not allowed to take any offensive actions, this includes attacking with weapons and spell packets. You could however use non combat spells and abilities, like casting defenses, buff spells or healing. So for example you could not throw a fire ball at a monster, but you could cast a fire shield on a warrior who was going in to fight it.

Hope that helps!

(Not a rules answer)

I think you're confusing non-combatant with an uncombative type of character. You can choose to not fight but do it when you must if you are uncombative.

If you are under the age of 14 you cannot participate in combat at our game. You are still able to create a character and play, but cannot get involved directly in the fighting by calling damage. That means that swinging a weapon and throwing packets would be off limits.

So you could for example come and play a Mage character, but you could not use spells that cause damage.

You already were given an answer to that one:

www.knightrealms.com/Components/Forums/index.php?topic=1983.0

I don't want to be a jerk, but asking the same question and expecting a different answer is a bad thing.

If you want to come out to the game, your best bet is to ask your Parents to look over the website, and read it to make sure they are OK with you coming out to play.  We'll be glad to answer any questions that they may have - more than a few parents actually play the game with their kids!

It is hard to say without having the piece of armor in hand. As a general rule we don't make any judgements until the armor can be inspected first hand. So in short we can't make a call on it until it shows up at an event. Sorry if this answer leaves you hanging.
