Greetings everyone, I'm Todd... Many moons ago I competed in SW Missouri's SCA as a saxon from Sabre Hold... And after embarking on an international adventure of my own around europe and asia for 3/4's of a decade with the armed forces my journey has brought me here in PA! After reading the KR webpage I'm uber stoked about getting into LARP after I research my character more and kick the cobwebs out of my swordplay!
Great looking characters you guys and look forward to meeting everyone come July!
Ciao,
Todd Benz

Welcome, Todd!
As an old SCAer (SCAdian?) myself, I think you'll enjoy Knight Realms. We're obviously not as historically centered as the SCA, but that allows for a bit more creativity and variety when interacting with people.
One big, BIG thing - if you were a "stick jock" back in the day, please remember that KR is much lighter combat than rattan & steel. At our events, speed and accuracy, and not the force of the hit, determine what counts. I remember having to learn to hit *hard* enough in the SCA and at Pennisc, here, the trick is to favor multiple quick hits over a stronger shot. But don't worry, there's still plenty of reason to limber up that sword arm!
