I recently learned about the existence of your LARP through a friend of mine, Nathaniel Galloway. It's been a few years since I've attended such a thing and I miss it so much that I jumped on the chance to experience it, again.

I used to be part of Mythical Journeys from 2001 to around 2004. I did a Legends event as well. I'm no stranger to LARPing but every game has its own set of rules to learn, so I have been exploring as much as the website as I can in the time I have, but I'm sure I will have some questions.

But... I just wanted to post here because I was recommended to and do I have to preregister anywhere to attend the November 2nd event?

I've decided that I am going to portray a Healer Kiterian. I do understand the costume requirements and I have some experience putting on a cat-face 'cuz of the other LARP. :)

You do not have to preregister. Registration at camp usually starts sometime between 6-7 and you can come at any point during the weekend. However it's is easier for you to get your character created and go through New Player Training if you come at around 6 or so.

I am heading to Lowe's today for boffer staff materials. I printed out the guidelines from the site to help make it easier. So exciting!

Just remember you also need to foam the pommel. You may not hit anyone on purpose, but accidents do happen.

Sure thing! My name is Renée. I've rp'd a cat person before. It's very fun! But of course, every place has their own rules and ideas so of course I would be very grateful for any guidelines and advice!

I can't get to Lowe's until tomorrow, but I will definitely foam both ends. :)
