Haha, when I saw your screen name I immediately thought of Kharn, btw.

I was last reading the short story "After Desh'ea" which covers the exchange between Kharn and Angron that enabled Angron to head his legion.been thinking of a PC not too sure what would fit well with my friends. They say NPCing is best at first, but the brain never stops working:

Halfling thief named Kik Everybody. "I'm Stealing your stuff, ye wee hard disease! Offski!"
Gladiator, escaped from a far off empire with no political connections to Travance. Possibly a kidnapped citizen. Carpentry skills as well.
Mercenary Halberdier/spearman.
Huntsman/Gamekeeper.
