Buna!
My wife, 2 friends and I are planning our first adventure for this month's event. Just wanted to drop a hello and ask a couple questions:
Thanks and can't wait to meet everyone!
EDIT: Wanted to add one more thing. I'm a Systems Administrator OOG. If you need any site administration help, or anything I.T. related assistance, please feel free to drop me a message. I'd be more than glad to help out
My wife, 2 friends and I are planning our first adventure for this month's event. Just wanted to drop a hello and ask a couple questions:
- Regarding Crossbows; what is a recommended tension? Should I follow standard boffing builds for the bolts?
- Regarding character cards for first time players; Should we arrive with a sheet of what we want our characters to be and cards will be generated with the beginner Staff? I'm sorry if I've overlooked a spot that explains this, there is A LOT to read in the rulebook!
Thanks and can't wait to meet everyone!

Hey! Thanks for joining us!
In regards to crossbows, they are supposed to have the same draw weight as a standard bow, which is roughly 20-25 lbs. If you already have a crossbow, you can test to see if it's legal with a fish scale. Using the scale/ hook, just draw it back to see the poundage. I have one I bring with me regularly, so we can test it if you want there.
Homemade crossbow bolts (and arrows) are strictly prohibited for safety reasons. Only IDV bolts purchased from a dealer such as Calimacil, Dark Knight Armory, LARP Exchange, or Medieval Collectibles will work.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to bring them up!
