Equipment questions

Hello! I've been kicking around character concepts for a little bit now, and I think I'm pretty well settled on a dryad healer/eventual bard. I do, however, have a few questions.

Concerning equipment, how necessary is it to have a boffer weapon starting out? I'm still not sure how combat heavy I want to play, and I don't already have a weapon. Are there on-site boffer rentals from logistics? Should I plan on not starting until I have something, or is it not even necessary to have one?

I have some other questions, but that one's my biggest. Thanks!

You're allowed to borrow weapons/armor/shields from Logistics provided they give permission. There's no cost, but we do expect you to treat them with care and return them by the end of the weekend.
