Hello all,
It's been a few years since I was out there to join you; the last time I was there was with the Dwarven Path guys (2013) and I spent all weekend trying to sell stuff people didn't need but wanted anyway. But this time I have a few friends who have been larping for a few years but haven't been out to your game yet; and we are looking at April for our journey East since our game is taking the month off.. I just started reading the new rule book, and putting together a primer for them so they get an idea of what to expect, and have a quick question (there will be many more to come as we think of them but this will do for now).
Accomodations: How do we figure that part out before we get there? We have modern tents, but do Not want to bring them unless absolutely necessary. being IG is important to us; and that much nylon can ruin a scene before it even starts.
Thanks in advance and I am looking forward to seeing what you guys have done in the last 6 years.

So I had another question come up. Under the green headband entry it says that damage can only be delivered to a non-combatant using Impact delivery. However that term does not show up anywhere else in the rule book. What exactly does this mean?

Hi, Jeff!
I'm also Jeff. 2013 is when I started and of what little I remember of those days, the Dwarven Paths crew definitely stood out--especially when I sat near a bonfire and watched Justin perform the finishing touches on a holster for a frying pan.
As far as accommodations go and figuring that out before arriving on Camp, you'll need to join the Adventurer's Guild board here on the forums:
www.knightrealms.com/groups.html
Usually the week before the event, a thread will be posted there allowing people to request a bunk.
The rest of the buildings aside from the Inn and the Barn are still first come, first sleep. Much has changed in the last six months, let alone six years, but that's stayed the same. However, we now have a master list of empty bunks at Logistics, just in case you and your friends aren't able to solve things ahead of time.
Modern tents are fine so long as they're out of the way of heavily trafficked areas and places on camp often used as mod sites (there are quite a few options, as I'm sure you can imagine).
Impact is among the other traits on page 111 in the Ruleobok:
If you're an arm's reach from your target, you're all set, because you're not physically touching/grabbing them or hitting them with your shield (Throw), just in range to do so.

Thanks for getting back to me. The next question I had is for one of our group. She is pregnant, (will be about 20-21 weeks around the April event. She is going to be Non-com, but wanted to make sure she would still be able to play at all before she makes the drive and then spends the weekend in a hotel.

Hello there!
I just spent this entire past weekend non-com (and do that every so often, due to some mobility issues), and I can promise your friend that there is still plenty to do even in a green headband

Thanks. Ya, she has plans. She just wants to make sure being pregnant isn't an issue. There are a couple larps out this way that don't allow pregnant players to come out at all. .
